  1. hey man how th f@$k did you get the pod filter on? we bought all the shit we needed but the lip on the carbie was to small to clamp the silicone hose down onto. we were going to modify the airbox but that would look gay, yours looks really good though. any info would be really appreciated, otherwise ive spent 150 bucks for nuthin. and man, do you know where to get the high torque 7k starters from, having alot of trouble finding starters anywhere. cheers buddie, yani
  2. hey guys, just wondering if anyone knows what offsets would fit a ke70? i have bought a set of volks off my mate, both 7's, the back ones fit on nicely and look sweet, but the front tires hit the springs and and wont fit. they are 2 piece however and i was thinking that i could go out and buy just the outer rims with a smaller offset and just slap the centres on the new ones? we emailed the guy at volks to see if this was possible, but he did not know what to do. anyone with suggestions or info, would help me out alot :D thanks heaps, yani
  3. hey guys can 5k webbers fit on to a 7k? I'm led to believe that 4k extractors can fit on a 7k, but also some parts can't fit. would it do the trick? help would be great, cheers. :S
  4. gday Ted, nah, well, the sump didnt need any modification to fit into the 4k xmember, but the problem for us was the steering rack pinion is hitting the sump which makes the steering real stiff, and it sets off a vibration throughout the whole car... we are going to just knock the sump in a bit around the pinion, and that should be apples dude. :S I also got it registered today and she pulls very nicely. took it for a long drive and got the hang of it, she's a beast. i can't wait to get my lowered kings in, with some 15" volks it will look tough. i will keep you posted on the project.
  5. nah man, we just bolted the 4k mounts straight on. to get the 4k gearbox on we just pulled off the 7k clutch and flywheel and threw on the 4k fly and clutch. :jamie:
  6. yeah i was, yeh... but then we realised that it was going to be a shite load of work, so we took it back and got three quarters what we paid for it... :) so i have just got the 4k box now.
  7. hey man, its not registered at this point hopefully in the next couple of days, but i have started it up and it runs like a gem. so i havent actually driven it on the road legally yet but is coming along nicely, it sounds tough. getting some suspension work and hopefully a set of volks tonight...
  8. hey guys, just got the 7k in and running, (yeeewwww!) hahaha. it was probably one of the easiest and quickest conversions ever! A bit pissed off that th 7k box didnt fit though! anyways 4k 5 speed will have to do. all in alll though it is a relatively hassle free, engine for my little ke70.... I'm STOKED! hahahaha. here are some pics P.S i saw some flared guards on ebay, but when i had enough funds saved up to buy them they were gone, anybody know where i can get some to suit ke70 reasonably cheap? cheers guys, yani
  9. that front bar looks sweet, Oni! yeah i am going to keep it stock if i can't find anything nice, but since i have got some sideskirts already, then i guess i may as well try. pics will be up this arvo.
  10. nah man, its no 4k, i haven't bought it yet..... i am still just considering all my options yet. i am not going to buy it unless i am 100 percent certain about what i am going to do. my sister's boyfriend is really keen to turbochrage the 4k, although it has a blown headgasket we were thinking about doing that. Just wondering though which one would produce more power? and it seems that the 7k would be cheaper, but a turbo 4k would be so cool novelty wise. From what i have read it is quite a bit of work and money. so which would be the best option there? so i am still just going to look around and see what i can find. but yeah if thats the cheapest option i am doin it for sure! cheers rolla68 your a champ! regards, Yani
  11. ahhhh, the west indies. beautiful. :lolcry: very, very tidy man, cool shit. thats the first ca18 ke70 i have ever seen. go the SR for sure dude.

  13. hey everyone, just wondering if anyone knows of anywhere that i can find ke70 bodykits? i saw a front bar on a ke70 a while ago, and i was wondering if it was one of a kind or what? and if there is'nt really a body kit for ke70's what could fit? and old bmw front bar maybe? I don't want anything outrageous just something quite subtle and easily fitted if possible? me and my sister's boyfriend tried on his s13 nismo sideskirts just as a joke to see how they would look, and they fitted perfectly, and suprisingly they looked very nice. :lolcry: just after front and rear bar if possible. any help would be appreciated.
  14. sorry man, my dad has found a whole engine for 1k.... don't need any engine at the moment thanks anyways though sorry to stuff you around. :lolcry:
  15. ok thanks very much dude, looks very tidy. its the best i have seen so far. sorry about that. just had to make sure. look can i get back to you on it. a have to talk to my old man first, but if he agrees with me then its a done deal my friend. hate to stuff you around but am only 17 and i am just trying to get the best out of my money, :jamie: will this be in your possesion for a while? and in a little ke70 with a bit of headwork it should pull along nicely shouldn't it? my dads boss said it would be around a 25% power increase is this correct?
