they are your standard 4K and 5K, the J stands for Japanese emissions equipment, which wasn't as restrictive as the C. I've read some info that these were the most powerful of the 4/5Ks by around 10kw/hp whichever it was.. so yes, it'll all bolt up to it

from my SuperMonitor display on the dashboard :unsure: it flashes up all the codes, i've had a bunch of different ones come and go, mainly a/c and door ones, but they're no big deal... so, if 51 is a/c loading, why does it say EFI in front.. maybe it's a different set of codes for the century, and i can't find a list etc on the intarwebs and after more testing, i've confirmed it's only doing the stall thing when in reverse, so i'm thinking it *could* be something gearboxy unfortunately... although, you know that's got me thinking about certain W5*'s and the words "sourcing a bellhousing" and "conversion" :o am i evil? yes i am! :jamie:

Dec '85 and it's Nippon Denso efi if that helps i've removed fuses but it hasn't cleared the codes.. but i'll try it again.. i've got a few problems with the a/c but i know about those so heh cheers :D

new instrument cluster, something in the electrics is screwed (none of the lights working etc.. fuses ok) rust that needs fixing, suspension bushes etc.. and thats just the stuff i can see.. sure, it's all fixable, but unfortunately it has to wait until i've got another FT job, as i'm spending $50 per week or so.. it's not that bad.. but i still don't have the outlay money atm for rolla :D aanyhoo.. the C is mainly idling low when i select reverse.. sometimes it will stall, others it goes to stall then regains when i touch the loud pedal.. The error codes (for those that can help) are DIAG-06 and EFI-51 ah, i love cars =)

it's got good ol toyota/denso efi etc idle control screw eh, hmm i might see if i've got one as for the codes, it's got the supermonitor, and it's flashing up codes, but i've no idea what they mean, can't find much info on the net... ok so here's a call to mr. matt or mr. warwick.. could you identify my codes? and nick, i so want my small chuckable car again as well, but it needs a crapload of stuff done to it and i've not the money atm to do it.. the whole vicious circle thing y'know? :D

niggling things here and there, but the main one that's pissing me off is it's stalling on me when i put it into reverse. it's a real bitch when i'm having to do those 10 point turns in these ʇ~~ɔy little streets around where i live while working. i've checked the timing, it seems to be alright.. it is tending to idle roughly atm but i don't know what could be causing it. i'm no efi wizard etc so i'm stuck with what it could be.. cheers, matt :D
