Hi there. I am running a T series diff in my KE30, running 2TGEU I made custom mounts for the spring plates to the diff tube... As for the diff centre. ae86 zenki lsd fit BUT. If u r using a standard open ta22 housing like i have, u need to machine 3 - 4mm off the splined end of ur axels. An angle grinder and an ultra thin disc is what i used... As for the tail shaft, i needed to lathe the centre of the diff flange out to fit the ke 30 tail shaft and redrill mounting holes to suit... As for traction issues i have smashed 2 wis bang TRD lsd so i wouldnt reconmend using them. Save ur bickeys and buy a Kaaz or Cusco

hello fellow members. I'm wondering what the best option is in relation to getting a plug for my 20v ecu. I'm after the 12pin (PLUG L, so I'm told) but I'm not sure what other cars have the same plug. teddy suggested that i get the plug moulded to the ecu, but the shit hole i live in there isnt an auto electrician that would/ can do it. also the ignitor module plug is missing.

nah its all plummed up and holdin water. the radiator is from a subaru vortex.

well three weeks ago i started this project, puttin the 20v in that is. then it became tidy the body work up (Typical corolla rust spots) :hmm: but due to there not being enough hours in a day the project didnt compeat in the hillclimb last weekend... :lolcry: here is some up to date photos as it sits on the hoist, oh and it does have a windscreen in it...

the ring gear measures 6.5" after searching a international spoonta site i found a sit that broke down (with pictures) the ae86 disc rear end... i have found i have Zenki axels

well i pulled the axels out tonight. they have 23 teeth on the spline. the axel bearings are about 2 inches long and the centre is open. the ring gear is roughly 4.11 well more than 4 turns but less than 4.5 but not too worried about that. just after what type of axles type i have so i can chase up an LSD center for it Willie

this is the best i can do... the camera in my phone is now f---ed but need to build new race car so it has to do till thats finished...

as the hill climb gets closer its time to pull my finger out. BUT i have this diff i got with another car. but i have no idea what it is!!! its a jap style. (ie have to remove tail shaft to unbolt and remove centre). will i find an LSD for it cheaply??? or do i need to invest in axels and CIG the centre???

well just to update Dizzy cap is unknown what he ordered. but ordered correct one. Got correct rotor button/ disc. Have new ignitor and coil. because i have had previous trouble with the ignitors in my TE30. Ae101 HD clutch and pressure plate are on the motor. Input/ spigit bearing inserted in end of crank. Have assorted S/S pipe and bends to reroot the water from the back of the block. Just look for some thermo fans (2) prefured same size, to fit a suburu vortex radiator. y i used it is cos it is brand new and it came on the car we got for nothing. next when leads and cap come. assemble motor and install in engine bay.

hmmm good point. but from bell housing to the ridge where winscreen pissers run there is a f**kin huge hole there that i have cut to fit all the FWD CRAP that u need to make this motor run... i really can't afford the new computer at the moment but since the hill climb is getting closer i have to bit the bullet and use the standard ecu... as for the leads i didnt get the part number off them but when they were in the hole. the dust cap sat about 1 inch above the rocker cover.

its at the bloody back... pain in the ass due to convertin it to rwd... and havent got enough dosh to buy aftermarket... car has to run in hill climb in 5 weeks... I'm off to the shed so i will get some pickeys for ya

yes but all the items that I'm buying for the ae101 are all different to the motor i have. yes it is a 20v motor. for one the timin belt for the ae101 s/t has 97 teeth and is 25mm wide. vs mine is 111 teeth and is 19mm wide. plug leads were too long. dizzy cap is different and rotor button om mine isnt a button its a disc... so on and so forth

As time gets closer the list is slowly gettin smaller on my new race car. but now i have a dilemma i need some help on. i ordered for my S/T 4age a set of leads and timing belt and half a dozen other things but they all don't fit!!! i did a little research and found that i have a motor from an AE92, not the AE101 as i have read about every where else... is this motor good or bad. any difference? more to the point is the wireing diagram's the same for the AE101 to the AE92????

hi all, i have strayed away from putting my 20v into my current race car, being the Te30 2 door. And decided that due to the avalibility of panels for the 2 door are getting harder to find CHEAPLY the 20v would look more at home in an ae71... Thus having already put alloy door cards into the te30 i have decided to go to carbon fibre... coming to my next problem nowon here sells the blooys stuff. So was wonderin if anyone would know where i could get some from... (without making it my self)

i was wondering if the ke30 2 door, door window is the same as the ke3x panel vans??? I'm getting sick of my lexon window, due to can open it... and the race car gets bloody hot inside...

i not sure if i saw a threat on here about different ideas on tail lights, i have tryed searching but can't think of what the thread was called. the thread is from a while ago about using the rx3 style of lights, and light on my query would be greatly appreciated

well boys and girls, due to i NEED more hp (lol) i have decided to become a Drifter... he he i have purchased this silver top 20v. my next task is to replace the 2tg. will it be easier to use ke30 Xmember or fit a 4a Xmember into my ke30??? i have stripped a complete ae71 so i have everything on that side of it. the only thing that i want to use is my polyurethane engine mounts (which i will make fit) just wondering what others have done??? also i have started the front brake upgrade. adjustable corona/ hilux/ and Peugeot conversion ;)

this is a drum diff out of the celica fastback... i think this is a disc diff out of (as teddy tells me) AE86. what style of diff are these? Are parts easyish to get for them? CAN U GET A LSD FOR THEM???? (the main point of the thread.) i have heard that the hilux 2wd lsd boults into a housing but I'm not sure which one.

had the beast out for its maiden race last weekend. umm well it goes. front brakes locked on so had to fix that out there. (brake bore has a non compressable objects in it ie sludge) after that when like a shower of shit... now have fuel problems... south aus state motorkhana on this weekend, i will see how it goes up there.
