i drive a ke30. you wouldnt expect such an upgrade from such a small difference, but yor guys just gave me the encouragement to do it.

hey yas, i currently have a 3k in my car,and have just been given a 4k. apart from the ovious 100cc upgrade i want to know if it would be worth the effort of swapping the engines. would it be worth it?

yea its a ct20. a mate gave it to me when he wrecked his hilux. its sitting here doing nothing and i want to put it to good use...hehe. i thought that petrol turbos and diesel turbos are the same? why are they not the go?

i want peoples opinion on this... does anyone think that a turbo off a 83 hilux diesel ( i think 2.2L) would be too big for a 4k???

sorry for the delay...went on holidays... it was a trimatic and whats this guide thing you talk of? it hasnt been lightened.and the dowls were all there and everything was clean. its running on all 4 and it doesnt matter if the clutch is engaged or not and theres no pedal pulsing or anything like that,

i thaught that the spigot bearing could be making the vibration. hmmm. is thee any way that i could have put the fly on wrong or that its not seated right etc?

yea put a spigot bearing in. how far do you drift them in? the 4k i took the fly and gearbox off had the bearing at the same height as the end of the crank but it looks like they can go deeper.

hmmm.i really didnt want to do that but your right. the fly came off a working motor and the clutch is new out of the box. are the fly's balanced with their motors?

i have pulled out the gear box 3 times trying to find the problem. i did change the tail shaft... the uni joints are in good condition and the weights are there but the problem must be fly/clutch... because it vibrates when your not moving and foot down on the clutch. when you rev it up it vibrates like mad! i will have a nother look at it tomorow and tinker with the flywheel.

FAQ has some of your answers. 1. best i can say is a wrecker of some sort 2. not sure... google it 3. again not sure. wrecker???repco??? 4. most kxx parts are inter-changable. i got a good clutck cable from wreckers for $11. it works fine...

hi guys, i have just completed an auto-to- manual swap. i have have used a different flywheel as the auto doesnt take a clutsh but I'm finding that the car vibrates alot. it never vibrated before the conversion... help?
