  1. Webers are a prick to tune but bike carbs arent? Haha. Just a straight through 2.5" muffler.
  2. yeah no worries sounds pretty decent now with just a muffler lol, I wouldn't go twin solex man they're a prick to work on and not exactly reliable. I'd try for some mikuni solex's mikuni bought the rights and redesigned them a little. In my opinion not quite as great as twin webers but the mikuni is a fantastic set and forget side draft stay in balance awesomely!
  3. Well a mate offered it to me and I got it on the cheap. I love it that much that I'm selling my xr6t that I bought as my first "modern reliable car" Due to unreliability and not needing another "weekend car". I then bought another one automatic with a slipping auto unregoed for $200. I've been working on it the last three weeks and I think it's turning out quite nicely. It owes me $800 all up including buying both cars as I found a lot of goodies in the shed. So far I've done, New shocks (in the shed monroes) Cut springs (ordering kings) Put a set of impul rs mesh on it that I found through my wheel piles a lot better nick then i remembered. Had to buy a new tyre to match another one. Other pair had 70% hankooks on it. Welded and modified the drivers rail to fit a pnematically adjustable 300zx z31 blue n silver seat. Reshimmed the LSD Put a garden edging front spoiler on swapped all the bolt on panels off of donour car Got the central locking all working changed out the nos teq replacement headlights off of donour. Ordered a weber adaptor for a 32/36 that was in the shed. Welded on sports muffler Things that I have planned Swap dashes install passenger seat finish hammering rear guards put my bolt on spacers on JDM t140 twin cam grill Fibreglasses next door are making me a custom fibreglass with top sheet carbon fibre ducktail Install king springs replace some bushes Put some 4" speakers in front 6's in back and put a better head unit in Pull head off of spare motor shave ʞ©$ɟ out of it and portmatch it and the manifold Buy extractors port match them Local shop charges $150 to regrind a cam Bend up a 2" exhaust. Do a gasket set on the other motor. Let me know what you think and please don't fill this full of don't bother with 2s ra ra ra. I own a 25 turboed R31 skyline, a 180b datsun with a built l18 turbo system, coilovers, 4 pots project etc and a Pontiac with a built 400ci I know it won't be a power house but I like throwing money down an endless pit. photos with chromies were when purchased, they came straight off do not judge me.
  4. Well put had seatbelts installed wednesday, goes back in monday... They've mounted them on the wrong angle and they keep locking up. I've so far had to driven twice without a seatbelt never done it before and I tell you what it's quite a nervous feeling don't know how people can do it. But when your stuck somewhere at ten at night been up since five driven 300 miles that day still feel like your dying from the kidney stone that hasn't passed in three days... You do it. Timing cover is capout unfortunately. The gasket went old owner left it to long it's starting to corode sigh. So modifcations happening sooner then thought. Plan is, lift motor up, drop sump, pull rad, timing cover and water pump. Look at factory ho cam. Laugh. Take 288/292 with .575 inch of lift out of box. Installe cam and hydraulic lifters. Put new old stock timing cover on, add electric water pump. Put radiator back in, attack thermos and wire in. Then laugh at the close to 40 kilo cast iron exhaust manifolds and put on hooker headers. take 800 off, put 750 spread bore on with a 1.5 inch raise aliminuim mani. Why you say? Cam kit including lifter. $137. Hooker headers $189. Electric water pump $103 thermo fan set up $86. Fark I love american motors.
  5. Not really a build thread but picked up my new toy yesterday thought you guys would approve! Only cell phone pics atm I'll reshow them when it gets polished and get the digital slr photo's taken. 402ci pontiac motor 18,000 miles since rebuild holley 800 double pump, electric pump n reg, new alternator ( FARKIN HUGE LOL ), 2.5 inch splits with a single magnaflow? on each bank ending before diff. Has 15x8 and 15x10 wheels. 265/60/15 allround. All the suspension the posi and the box also got rebuilt 18000 miles ago aswell as a fresh two pack which was 10 years ago now. Has an awesome gold pearl through the clear coat. I bought it off the 2nd owner who's had since 87 who bought it off the original owner. It was sold new in Australia funilly enough apparently. So either dealer or gm rhd conversion. Plans, new bird for the bonnet. Brakes I'm thinking... Rechrome wheels. New tyres fairly hard at the moment probably go 255/275. Adr seatbelts going in on wednesday. Carby play thursday also have a 650 n a 750 sitting around, thinking the 750 would help this.. Hoping to go to kwinana for a 1/4 mile run next week or week after. I haven't driven a car like this before it's something different. you park it with one finger, arse gets loose powershifting at 40 mile into second with 265's. Torquetorque. Flattens out pretty quick but it's just something else.
  6. It's a series three. It now has some dark copper and highly polished 15x7 work fins on it. Kts track spec coilovers. It has the rb20 bolted in, gearbox and shifter in , tailshaft in, plugs coilpacks, loom fed through. just gotta connect some vaccum lines, holesaw some holes for the fmic, finishing taking the dash out, 80% out. Change the pedal box put the master and slave on and hope she runs. Copping a silhouette spec dash and some blue/grey r33 seats and 296mm fronts very very soon.
  7. Unfortunately it's pissing down here :( Rb20 was meant to come out of my parts car yesterday sump swap service etc before going in but guess next weekend.
  8. 16x7.5 and 16x8.5 magnesium panasports they're plus 20's but the spokes come out a lot and doesn't give enough dish off. Which is why I've taking them off to try find some meshies. I have some 15x7 +10 SSR hyper meshes on now n it looks hot. Should have coilovers after sunday I've flared the guards about an inch and a half. Not the best but the guards had dented from hitting the tyres hard. So I had to pull them right out to get past the dents.
  9. Just to let you know this car was running 14 psi last time I saw it, Yes intercooler was backyard. But the bloke didin't want a fmic. It still ran a 14.3 down the quarter with bugger all traction in this form. And the smashed window he rolled round with for a while, and it wouldn't surprise me with the ignition barrel bloke who bought it off g nut was dodgey little asian bloke. Semi tempted to buy it but I already told garnet no to his other t18 due to funds.
  10. My R31, also known as the aggghhh dirty one. I bought it with ugly arse 18's and a boot that didn't close, with about 6 grand worth of recepits for the last few years. It currently has an rb30 with new water pump, timing belt, starter motor, distributor, alternator, front and rear mains replaced etc. It has an auto tragic and a diff that knocks like the red cross. First thing I did was remove said ghey 18's and sold them to G nut. I then installed panasports, all i've done is have a drunk mate install a stereo system and use to shorter screws speakers have fallen out of the door but I cbf atm. I've replaced all the door cards and put a dual headrest and flip down centre rear seat. Put rebuilt calipers and new rotors on the rear after rear left jammed and I ran jammed thirty km's to get home. I have been quite lazy with this car in all honesty. I've just done plugs and leads and an oil change and air filter just because I'm extremely anti the motor that's in it. I'm not to sure how it runs missing a cam and a clutch but I guess that's how these things work. I impulse bought another one on the weekend as a parts bitch. No seats, no front end , tailights or bumpers. But with a 100k Rb20 in it running 135 psi across with no turbo on it. It has everything but the ecu turbo mani and afm due to wrecking before I decided to buy the whole thing. It has an xs motorsport 600x300x100 fmic on it, 3 inch bent mandrel full system with blast pipes. S13 front suspension conversion but they didn't install coilovers.. fail. Rear tein super street coilovers new bushes and the gearbox has a lighter flywheel and an exedy rough rider clutch. So far between the two of them I owe 3 grand... ;) Don't have pics of parts bitch arrives Saturday but this is how the car sits now.

  12. Hey guys a bloke on the forums is wanting to buy my wheels for his ke70, though they 15x7 +7 offset, will they fit? Or does someone live local to belmont so i could try putting them on? His cars not movable and I want to know if they'll fit before I go down to mandurah to pick up the other 2?
  13. hey sorry about that mate, The car was yellow stickered and rego ran out all parts here to fix it got off the phone the other day with public transport authority, I can legally weber it. So it's going to be running a 32/36 downdraft weber and re pitted. Will be looking for around 5k then, or swap for a 4age licensed e7 or ae86, also open to other swaps.

Vehicle information: 1981 BMW e21 318i Car has had a buttload of work done to it but can't get it running at the moment the fuel systems playing up i think it's either a vaccuum leak or fuel distributor/afm problem. The manifolds sucking but the actual afm isn't and sometimes not pumping fuel, which i guess the afm's not lifting so the plungers not pumping out fuel. car has been converted to 2 litres, bumped up compression, rebuilt head with a mild cam and valve job, cold air intake, 4-2-1 tuned length extractors with a 2 1/4 inch custom exhaust, walker super turbo resonator and a supersprint straight through rear muffler. Bilstein shock absorbers all round with king springs, 320 pound per inch front 200 rears, bigger sway bars front and rear. Car sits on 15" BBS RA's with 195/50/15 kumho ku31's on the front Toyo proxes t1s Rears 215/45/15. Comes with a spare 15 inch matching BBS. Car is painted two tone, paint is okay but not great. Looks great from ten metres away though. Short shifter, has an m5 rod with a billet custom linkage in it. race seats, and re-died panels, rear seat is stain free and tear free. cd system, new steering wheel, battery in boot. new cyclops immobiliser, can make into one hell of an alarm though i couldn't afford to pay for the auto leccy to do so, has a new starter motor and ecu, new rear hub that needs fitting new drivers glass that needs fitting. car is currently unlicensed due to a yellow sticker for a blown rear tail light bulb ( asshole highway patrol) Condition: Great. Price: 5k ono. For right price can also supply some 16 x 8 ( i think) Simmons v4 3 pieces race wheels.   15. lol well in the 60's the 2 litre carb was 115 hp and 130 for the injected and 170 for the turbo. it works. just everything has to be in sync for it to work. everything relies on something else.
