Hi rolla club people. I have an issue with my Ae82 twin cam seca. Its just started ildling funny. It sort of revs itself, going from about 2000rpm to 2700ish repeatedly. then after about 2 mins of that it drops down to 1000rpm up to 2000 rpm. its wierd it just goes vroom then backs off then vroom up again on its own, no pedal contact what so ever. does anyone have any ideas? starting points of investigation? It did it once while I was going through a bottle o on saturday, then it was ok, now its doing it again today and doesn't seem to want to correct itself anymore. thanks in advance,

Hi everyone, just had my new Ae82 twin cam seca serviced and checked out by my locale mechanic and it turns out the clutch is stuffed, previous owner must have ridden the pedal alot. Also the cluthch master cylinder is leaking and needs replacing. Everything else is all good aparantly. He quoted me around 600 bucks to replace them both. does that sound about right to anyone? anyone know where to get it done cheaper or will do it for cheaper? lol cheers

Hi everyone, Just got myself a new daily as I am putting my ke30 into semi retirement, to be brought out on sundays and for a nice slow cruise every now and again. still dearly loved. Its a Ae82 1986 twin cam seca not the best pics, i'll get some more later on. Its in pretty good condition i reackon. A little bit of rust around the fuel cap and a bit on the wheel arch, nothing really bad. The interior is immaculate and it feels nice to sit in. Goes pretty good also, zippy and sits on 100kph nicely. I'm gonna do a full service this weekend and get her checked out a bit. Should be a good daily hopefully.

I'm wondering more so about the availability/rarity of the factory lifters mentioned in the FAQ/Knowledge base out of the landcruiser. Also does anyone know where to get this done in SA. cheers

Hi, I want to convert the lifters in my 5k from hydrualic to solid and i have no idea how to do this myslef so i thought i would leave it to a pro. Does anyone know of or could recomend a place to get this conversion done? cost? Are the solid lifter's out of the landcruiser 3F??? motor mentioned in the knowledge base/FAQ readily available and has anyone used them before? Any info on the subject appreciated, Cheers, Andy

thanks for the help everyone...my dash is the standard ke30 one with the clock. I'll go and get a 2'' tacho and attempt to swap with the clock. I'm not real good with electrics, give it a go though. :bash: Taz that is an awesome looking dial set up you have there. I am jelous. haha

ok i'm wondering if there is a tacho dash that just bolts in such as in the ke70 for now cheers, andy

paintballing is awesome and a cruise to yankalilla would be alright. I'm keen to come on any cruise to be honest, keen to meet some rolla enthusiasts

I know how u feel about power loss, i used to drive a V8 VH SLE commodore up untill a few months ago, but you know what, i love my little ke30 heaps more...sure its slow of the line and everyone wants to overtake me, even when i am doing the speed limit :yes: , but its soooo cheap to run . just think of the savings mate and love your rolla for what it is....just my opinion.

Cheers for the advice mate, it's running at about a quarter temp now but i'll keep an eye on it Not sure what the plans are yet. i guess some extractors and exhuast might be a good start. what do you guys reackon?

Hi everyone, just bought myself this nice little ke30, its got a 5k 5sp in it. I'm new to corolla's and this club helped me alot with pre purchase research. thanks to all those that contributed to the knowledge base. i've had this car for about two weeks now and i really like it.
