  1. Terrible physics but such a cool game! It would be sweet if the collaborated with the guys who made GRID and make an English version.
  2. I gotta get mine up and running again, they run off the smell of an oily rag!
  3. Sorted out the rest of the fitting issues today, its so god damn big! the stalk actually hits the dash when the high beam is pushed forward lol, but it does suit my extended boss pretty well... and i also made a plug up for it, will do some more fiberglassing on sunday, forgot how slow this stuff is to work with in winter :(
  4. Started it up and listened to it purr :P Although it won't sound so much like a tractor once I get a full exhaust on her
  5. Finished work and straight into the fiberglass filler, the pinnacle is going to sit a bit to the left off centre in relation to the steering wheel because I really cbf cutting and shutting both ends of the dash, it's been a while since I have played with this stuff and I didn't put enough hardener in the filler so I'm gonna be here a while lol. I'll start stretching cloth over the holes tomorrow and get the resin and matt out.
  6. Wrx dash board showed up today, I was that hard at work that I got the missus to drop it off for me and started Chopin it up straight away lol It's 140cm across and a corolla is 130cm, so I'm going to cut and shut the passenger side, hopefully the dash pinnacle piece lines up in front of the steering wheel, I'm going to use the little flip up part on top as a space to put gauges, I'm going to prop it up and fiberglass it so it stands up, then get a cheap pinnacle and mould it into the hole to fit oil temp, oil pressure and water temp. I cut a square out underneath that nav I'm going to make a switch panel which will hold a battery isolator, ignition switch and push button start, using the factory hazard switch. Using the right air vent to hold a boost gauge..
  7. Very very clean swap this is awesome! Job well done Kate I bet you're keen to drive it, what did you have to do for a tail shaft?
  8. Haha that's it, I just wanna be able to drive it already.. did a fair bit more wiring today, relay for the starter is done, toggle switch for ignition, push button start, i have to find the new battery terminals that are amongst the shit I have somewhere .. Also waiting on this wrx dash Measured the corolla at 130cm and the guy said the wrx dash was 134cm so it shouldn't be too hard to fit.. I'm losing all the factory wiring or as much that is practical, losing the ignition barrel etc.. I welded up the mounts properly for the quad head lights and will start the wiring for them tomorrow. purchased all the proper sized fittings for the fuel hoses including bulkhead fittings, just need to get some money for the hoses and the new cell, which was about $600 more
  9. Yea that'd what it was running before, not sure what I will put it uoto with the 288 cams and e85, but like I said that's a while yet
  10. yea ive done them before i just hate doing them haha, fiddly are shit it is, i'll be getting my sparky mate to do it as i know he will solder and heat shrink properly.. it is tuned for 18 psi, but when i get the boost dialled in i will keep it at 16 psi, thats what beau yates ran so i'm sure it will be fine like that, just until i get it re-built next year and tuned for e85..
  11. i had it running off the battery as well as a jump charger thing, hopefully it shouldnt have damaged it, i wont be starting it again until i have everything hooked up properly and it goes off for a tune.. thanks man, it gave me some motivation to get it finished anyways !!
  12. http://youtu.be/ODmLmFQF0qI
  13. i knew someone would pick up on that haha, knew i should have edited it and no the trigger wire for it wasnt plugged in properly lol, there is NO room up in there to put it back on either, all the oil lines for the turbo tap in straight underneath, and the manifold is there etc etc.. I'm going to wire up a panel on the new dash with switches for everything, battery cut off, push start button etc, also i have to wire the alternator in, in the video it sounds like it is missing but that is mostly beacause of the whole lack of alternator thing lol.
  14. hear* lol yea i'm working on it now, just battling with the missus' stupid Iphone and this retarted arse computer haha
  15. I had a go at wiring this arvo but I'm lost so I am getting a mate to do the starter motor relay for me, everything else is hooked up, thermos turn on when the key is turned to ignition, just won't crank over.. I even tried running a cable straight from the starter to the battery... But nothing :( will be paying for my fuel system next week, 5 metres of dash 8, 5 metres of dash 6, and all the Speedflow fittings, also new fuel cell as I don't like this one.. weeks wages gone instantly lol.
  16. I was thinking bout it but it's only a track car lol, if I paint it black if will hold a bit more heat in the Sun..
  17. Haha why are you so sweaty? .... I was watching cop's. Yea I don't go much on the look of the front mount, I want to try and sit it in closer so I can bolt a front apron back on, but there's not to much I can do with out having to re make the intercooler pipes
  18. Quad lights dummied up ready for tabs to be welded on, u blew the drill up so got lazy and welded the radiator support in instead of drilling holes and making it removable..
  19. Well I got all my motor mounted properly, except the plenum is hitting on my clutch master cylinder, the only solution to this I can think of is to make a 15mm spacer to go between the gbox mount and the xmember, I think my chassis or the cross member may be bent.. measured up my tail shaft and added 20mm to compensate for the t series (which still isn't in the car) and sent off the details so a fella in Victoria can make it for me Fixed my ride height up as it was waaaay to low after dropping the motor in Checked every fitting I could see to make sure they are tight Mounted my radiator properly Fitted my front end roughly, so I can start making mounts for the head lights and grill Finished most of the wiring, just need to wire the computer into the ignition barrel Bought a 99 wrx dash board Going to get some vs Commodore struts for the bonnet also
  20. I thought one of them was larger too, but it turns out that the other one is smaller :/ I'll let you know how I go anyways as I should be taking it down to the a brake shop here soon, I dare say you can buy an adaptor
  21. Yea that shit freaks me out !! Looks like its guna be good fun anyways mate.. have you had a play around with that handbrake yet ? I have one very similar and I think it needs some sort of adaptor fitting
  22. Yi live in the middle of no where I swear I am the only person with an ae in a 100km radius full stop haha
  23. I'm staring at mine now.. knowing that I'm probably too pissed to attempt any work and if I do attempt any than I will regtre it tomorrow hahaha
