well... update.. nothing. spent my tax return on a few more parts but that's it.. have to pick the car/ute up from my mates some time this week

oh and i honestly can't remember the dimensions of the tube, from memory it was 3.6mm wall? and i can't tig weld for shit, so ill only be cutting and notching everything and getting someone more experienced too weld it.

haha as the saying goes "if it has tits or wheels its gunna cause you trouble" i went away for two weeks until proven innocent.. been doing a bit here and a bit there on the ute but nothing worth taking pics of.. ;iving back at mum and dads and helping him build a new shed so hopefully the rolla can come into town soon so i can stay up all hours of the night tinkering :)

thanks man! yeah tandems are definitely in order.. I don't stuff around with body work so this should be done in a month tops, then if in haven't got it finished by tax time I'm paying someone to work on it for me..

haha, seriously but.. ordered the cold weld seamless pipe today for the cross bars and a few sheets of 1.6, did a bit of cutting welding grinding bla bla bla nothing too exciting

so I finished welding up the frame today.. just making sure it has enough bracing lol

oh it's also probably worth a mention, new turbo rocked up a month ago.. cleaned out all the lines to make sure that wasn't the problem.. fitting as many gauges as I can before starting the thing again

doing it with sedan as a base is definitely making shit difficult for my self, but at least I'm not hacking up a wagon.. stuff I love wagons ! :)

I never got off the crack jake hahahahah... got more welding gas today and a plasma cutter coming tomorrow. have most of the "tub" cut out, and bracing between B pillars and C pillars, also braces running between strut towers, most being temporary. will get the doors completely welded up tomorrow, have to redo the drivers side door again as it sits in a bit at the top

Wooooooow haven't been on here in a while lol Guess what? Nothings changed. Still haven't got turbo rebuilt. Haven't done brakes or anything, have a lot of parts lying around just havent had the motivation or time.

Will get some fresh pics up of this thing.. My nee turbo should be here tomorrow.. Never been so keen for a Monday haha. I'm not going to start the thing but.. want an oil pressure gauge set up up before even considering it. Once i stop spending money on my dirty sr I'm going to buy the Teflon brake lines to setup up the rest of my brakes and after that its off for a wheel alignment and a tune (fingers crossed)
