  1. Yea haha sorry but thought I better wait, I need to get a few things sorted first, like earth straps as the last time I had it running the earth cable to the chassis was getting pretty hot.. Also gotta put some oil in the gearbox.. I'm thinking i might make up a quick block off fitting for the brake master so I can just bleed the front brakes and just use them, till I get the rear lines made up. I JUST WANT A QUICK MOTIVATIONAL DRIVE :D
  2. I sprayed my last ke55 with water based house paint (high gloss of course haha) just thinned it down heaps and it turned out nice, still stuck on the car even after being pressure washed 100 times.. It all comes down to prep.
  3. Diff is in, rolling around with some niceish offset, might put on some 20mm spacers. exhaust is all bolted on, looks a bit funny as where I've cut the apron out, I might re angle it to suit one day, but it will do for now. doesn't look too bad with a rear bar on.. Will get a chrome one eventually. tail shaft bolted up. clutch and brake master done, but I need cusco engine mounts as the plenum is rubbing on the master cylinder. I probably could have driven this today but decided against it and called it a day. will get fresh pics up when I get to a computer or a phone that actually allows me to do my own thing.
  4. Budget? Well its pretty obvious you don't have a budget hahahaha Keen to see how those rear guards turn out by the way, mini tubs also ?
  5. In love with that twin wastegate manifold <3 so so shiny haha.. This thing is coming along nice, can't wait to see and hear it in action!
  6. I have night shift tonight, but my head does not want to sleep today, so I think I better go and throw this diff in!
  7. Lol I need to do my brake lines still.... So maybe a 4th gear donut.. Drove to Sydney today and picked the diff up, was going to cost nearly 500 for freight and it probably cost about $100 for fuel so win win !!
  8. will start putting my fuel system in on monday and then get a video of her running too
  9. few random pics I had on the phone.. got my surge back but I'm not real happy with the workmanship.. splatter all over the threads and the two middle fittings angle toward each other... oh well that's what happens when you live in a shit hole and you can only find one place that even has a tig welder lol headlight loom, HID's, can't figure out why one side isnt working..
  10. Na it looks good like that, rep the 4wd styles lol This is coming along nice by the way, keen to see it finished
  11. insane. Love how you had everyone thinking you were building a k series haha.. Not sure if you found a VSS for the w series or not but here is a link to one, not sure if that's what you were looking for http://www.marlincrawler.com/transfer-case/parts-upgrade/vehicle-speed-sensor-mci
  12. Its all payed off, just waiting for him to send it off for me, fingers crossed its getting picked up from Sydney Monday morning and should be here in the afternoon sometime.. Then I've got 3 days off work to get it all in and make some brake lines up for the hydro Yea it was a lot of stuffing around but its on there properly now, I put a cable tie around the outside of the wire and over the starter motor so it won't ever slip off again.
  13. Pick up my surge tank tomorrow, engine side of the wiring is all systems go, will get some boring pics of stuff for you guys on the weekend.. And maybe a decent video of the car running.. I actually had to unbolt the whole turbo and manifold setup so i could take the heat sheild off the starter motor so i could redo the solenoid wire as it wasn't crimped properly and came loose lol
  14. don't need to use the light, cheers guys lol
  15. Quick question, I'm sitting here making a new loom for my alternator, do I need to use an aternator warning lamp on 4age ? I just don't want to go and make it all pretty only to have to turn around and run another wire for the lamp.. I can't start the car to fins out if I need one or not.
  16. this is why I only come into this thread to look at pictures, because reading the comments in here is like reading the comments on a YouTube video.
  17. I was cutting off the inside part of the fuel filler mount so I could get a hammer and dolly onto it (put to much heat into it whilst welding the flap shut) and didn't notice the loom running along side it, sliced straight through all 15 odd wires.... Hopeless prick.
  18. Was scrolling down on my phone and as I read the idea about the white writing I instantley knew you would have got the inspiration from that ke71 lol. p.s the panels look pretty dam straight from what i can see, awesome base to start with.
  19. I've still got it sitting in the shed, I'm thinkin what you're thinkin b2... Stripping back to the bare essentials. But I also now have to solder/crimp the entire tail light loom back together cause some Wang cut through it with a grinder while shaving the fuel flap haha
  20. I'm dead keen to drive this thing haha Will be doing a small test skid when I get the wheel alignment done. I'm towing it 2 and a half hours to a shop in queanbeyan that's been recommended to me by numerous people.. And my cousin has a property out the back of qbn with a nice stretch of tar.
  21. Done a few small things on the weekend, made up a loom for the head lights, did alternator wiring, finished relay for starter solenoid, started making a clamp for the battery.. Still need to get mig gas lol.. Had a few cans of JD which is always essential.. not much but its one step closer.. also still waiting on my surge tank to come back from the boil makers.. gunna have a crack at doing as much wiring as my little brain can handle so I bought cheap soldering iron, terminals, heat shrink, cheap multi metre, tape and all that shit. Just gunna get stuck on wiring the flasher can for the blinkers
  22. Hilux would be g series man
