hey mate yeah i replaced my thermostat didnt help the old one opened but for piece of mind and only $5 i replaced it anyways while i replaced my waterpump i flushed it n after that it seamed to overheat ever since then. And checked for typical head gasket evidence and can't see any so i think it could be blocked i have picked up a reco radiator thats my next step replace that see how i go..

yeah didnt think they done anything just thought this might have solved my overheating problems thats all...

nah there are no wires or anthing hooked to it there were two vacume lines but some idiot (myself) broke them off it but thats it?? yeah sorry from camera phone thats why...

i have a over heating problem that aint been ironed out yet but i found this bit broken and dunno what it actually does???

yeah tried burping it mate air came up and all fairly cleared up but still hot. And yeah picked up a cheap radiator just now so ill chuck than in tomorro. and yes heater flat out didnt do bugger all if radiator doesnt fix problem then ill get it profesionally flushed and recomendations good places in adelaide? western subs

flushed it twice replaced the water pump and thermostat and it still cooking after 10 mins of driving any more idead

oh i see what u mean now fully re read this whole thread which means can't do in my car with standard tacho "easily" or cheaply will do more reasearch for limited hence 4k doesnt make power after 5200rpm standard so want a limiter

so if i just chuck in a shift light somewhere or anthing that flashes it will work??

so this limiter u speak of sounds all good and well if... u have a aftermarket tacho and shift light correct can i do it with a standard tacho and no shift light??? (4k)

yeah have flushed it done that when i replaced the pump. will have to pull some stuff apart? so how does the thermo work then?

yeah i thought it might have been the thermostat staying closed due to lack of vacume? all my vacume lines are fairly f@$ked and there is two lines blocked that were off this lil plastic bit bellow the top hose?

so that simple hey?? I'm sure i tried that when i filled her up again? so it just get air pockets n the pump wont pump as such??

regardless of drivabillity and being street legal is it simple or major problems? have a shell sitting here mate with buick v6 (vn motor) and wanted to combine the two for a hunting buggy who has actually done it before?

4k ksev keeps cooking after recent replacement of water pump but have no idea why anyone drove this road before? and yes has coolant

yeah doesnt leak just noisy um the seal was really really hard so squeeked well doesnt make noise anymore since replaced so sweet as! just more problems now

well the seal is very hard! and after further inspection the pully shaft doesnt look to healthy so not 100% sure but probably replace seal n pully while its off may as well! the front seal doesnt stop oil coming out it stops stuff eg dirt dust grime into my block and into my oil its a swipe seal..

pulled the pully off when i had the front of my car apart cos I'm not doing it twice pulled off the bottom pully and the back half is fairly worn so it the seal but only prob is can't get the seal out any hot tips?? :lol: oh water pump in nice n shinney

whats this rubber ur talking about is it on the inside of the pully? its definatly not the belt squeeking i know that noise and its not that at all got the water pump out get new one tommorro hopefully keep u posted then

turns out my bottom pully is really noisy (4k) i thought bearing but a bloke at work swears it doesnt have one just some rubber stuff or something any ideas? oh n water pump shat itself anyone got a new one lying around
