Hey guys i found this on another forum just last night its a MUST SEE Hi all, post this on all the forums you can at let everyone know!!! A website will soon be up and running with all the details. There will be a public meeting being held in Pt Adelaide at 2pm on Sunday the 16th of August (location to be confirmed) at which all people who have an interest in the proposed Pt Adelaide Motorplex will have an opportunity to not only to hear from the consortium themselves, also from politicians, guest speakers etc. This will be followed by a protest at Parliament House, Nth Tce in the city on Friday the 28th of August at 5pm that will bring the city to a standstill. Police permits will be arranged and we expect total co-operation of the Police. Everyone is to be on their best behavior as there will be a huge media presence. Bring your cars and your family. The events will be self policed so if you see someone doing something stupid that could harm the image of the modified car/motorsport community don't hesitate to report it. We are an important part of the community and we (who do the right thing) deserve better treatment from the Media and the Government. Consider this - A footballer only has to purchase a Guernsey, shorts, some boots and pay his subs to play (the government and councils generally supply all the ovals and facilities). Someone involved in modified cars/motorsport probably spends on average around $30,000 to 'play', whilst at the same time much of that money goes into local businesses creating jobs and apprenticeships. Not only do we not have a place to play, we have a situation where by a private consortium, who wishes to build the track on the land the government offered them (and which the consortium offered to purchase or lease off of the government), with no taxpayer input required, has the offer knocked back because it will 'create more hoons on the public roads'. If you want this Motorplex to become a reality, and can see all the positives for SA that will go with it, just spend a couple of hours of your life to attend the meeting and then the protest, making it one of the noisiest protests in SA history! This is our one chance to show that we, the modified car/motorsport/business community are more than a just bunch of hoons who are a drain on society. Enough is Enough!!! Stay tuned for more news! Thought id finally post up pictures of my car on here so u guys know who i am when u see me Its a 1980 ke70 wagon is stock as a rock apart from the rims bought it as a daily dunno how long ill keep it for though but atm its cheap on fuel as compared to my dunnydore i get approx 560-600kms out one tank loves it :) Cheers guys tell me what u think

My new wagon diff looks really short compared to my old wagon with same rims and tyes. Tonight i finally had a chance to go for a spin and they scrub out in the inside of the tyre but didnt get anywhere near on the old wagon is the a possibility the diffs are different eg shorter?? cheers

but all in all if there is not much power gain (not that 4ks have much) they don't use much more or less fuel, so there is no real diffenece other than auto choke thats apparently not reliable. So my point is why...

In my waygon it looks like the diff is really short in comparison to my old waygon is there different length standard diffs??

i had a full set on a ke70 i just sold for wrecking pm southside he has my old car might be able it grab them from him

yeah i kno don't really want to hack out the dash n yeah like the tacho but like i said cops are tops near me n prob do me for not enough petrol in my tank but the other three guages nice like it I'm still to put my deck in so i don't have that middle bit sucks ass no beats n no tacho yeah like it mate just cops near me don't like it at all

i was lookin at getting a aftermarket tacho but cops arent very nice near me has anyone put a aftermarket tacho in place of the oh so ugly clock n whats it look like cos i hate things that look shit because generally they are crap please enlighten me? oh and shift light??

oh and on ur issue my mate had a aftermarket tacho in his ss n it worked fine put it into an older car didnt work @ all think something to do with current or different signals or something not 100% but think thats what he ironed it out to be??

this is correct they have all gone through the same usage same amount of strain unless something has phisically hit it or been torn off be sure that the others COULD be at the end of there life..

yeah ur very limited to size her mate i have pirrelli pzero neros in 17s on my commo n can't get them unstuck unless i really REALLY try but yeah very limited to size mate

but yeah cops down our way just like defecting shit i swear hey they must just be hella bored! oh n ed cut that shit hey don't wan2 see the pano off the road... There are also alot of elderly people down my way and no shit they complain about anything noisy or even stereo loud ive been called up saying my stereo was too loud (its a stock stereo no sub) they are really picky and c**ts so just watch out. Ed is from adelaide but not on the peninsula and he has no problems if that were anywhere near me that be off the road stat. See u sometime this weekend scottie
