  2. Failure to carry license, 108$ + 30$ levy, + 70$ + 30$ levy for one p plate, which fell down and i didn't notice ahahah, unlucky! Its not as if i walk up to my car before i get in, make sure rear taillights are working, indicators work, license plate lights are functioning, breaks aren't leaking and p plates are adjusted accordingly.....then again, maybe i should :2thumbs:

  7. Hey there guys, when removing the rear seal on a k-50 gearbox, what have people used to get the mother trucker out, i heard someone say once that a big fish hook would work, alas i don't have any of those :jamie: Any other common household items? Cheers, Steven

  10. well a while back when i was using gasket goop, got it all over my hands and didn't notice at the time, but now I've noticed there's dried gasket goop on the paint, gah.....anyone know how to get this stuff off? Thanks guys
  11. lol okay ive fiddled and fiddled with the clutch cable and concluded that that isnt a problem......the lever on the gearbox gets pulled the whole way etc etc, but still no action from the clutch. frustrating lol
  12. Hey did all the stuff with my clutch cable, then you can fully decompress the cable and you will get no resistance......any ideas?
  13. ooook thanks to the great help of LukeAE71 the gearbox is in and all that jazz, now adjusting the clutch cable, i've been told there should be a way to adjust the clutch cable, which end does this occur at. One end is where the cable connects to the pedal, the other is where it connects to the clutch fork....., which end do i have to fiddle with, is it anything to do with the c clip just before the cable enters the firewall??....seems to be the only part which can be adjusted, but i dunno rlly....thanks guys
  14. Ive been told you can use falcon shocks in the front, i believe it was cut falcon eb shocks, or chopped commy vl front springs
  15. http://www.news.com.au/adelaidenow/story/0...5006301,00.html One of my friends boyfriends was driving the car, no reason to be going that fast....even more so when its wet weather down a badly surfaced road.... R.I.P
  16. yep, i'm definitely a fan of the dry whether, more grip, less mess, less cold-ness to freeze your hands off in the morning.
  17. lol driving around my mums and sisters hatches, both with shitty tyres on the back, they like to wag their tail around in the wet that's for sure,
  18. lol dunno about the other states, but in SA it's ok for you to have a cold one while driving!
  19. That reminds me of a similar situation happening to me!, I was about 12 and the family was driving back from Port Augusta down Pt Wakefield Highway(i think) into Adelaide. We were cruising along in the old 88' Hilux, dad was driving, the windscreen wipers were barely doing anything, the wind was shaking the car around, and every time a car passed on the other side of the road it was as if a thick wall of water just hit the car!, I was scared shitless that every time a car passed us the front window was going to break it was that hard!, all at about midnight mind you. So glad i was too young to drive ^_^
  20. ahahahah yeah, ive only spent a few hours on it, just the problem of finding spare time in year 12 -_- so it ends up being 20mins here 20 mins there Ill give autopro a call aye, thanks for that!!
  21. lolk, ill do my best, i think i just expected a magical tool, easier if i just had a tip of a spline lying around :P thanks for that! Edit: Also how well aligned does it all have to be, i don't know how well ill be able to see it from under the car in the gearbox tunnel
  22. Yeah i know that road, so lucky man, must have been a pretty f**king scary experience!
