Installed my spoler spec. louver, all thanks to Luke for selling it to me; also planning on buying a short shifter from him in a week or so!! Need to figure out how i'm gonna install the spirit wing, currently i think i'll just make a template up and work it out from there, any other suggestions? Now have rear springs, pedders low Hopefully order the weber adaptor plate next week, FINALLY!!! Installed a cheap subzors, every car needs a sub to rattle their boot to bits -_- Front suspension is all sussed out- RA40 Struts/LCA's/Tie rod tubes and ends Just need to measure some stock ke70 front springs, and get around to measuring my mates ra40 stock ones

When sourcing my adaptor plate i dropped into my local Sprints, they pretty much couldnt be bothered helping so sent me to their wholesaler. From there i sat down with the owner and had a flick through their Redline Adaptor Plate book of mysteries. Yeah irokin, i've been waiting around for a 32/32 Weber for a while, can't WAIT to get it fitted!!! Yes it was a 32/36 DGV adaptor plate, and mine is also a 32/32 DGV Thanks for the pic and description Taz, but unfortunately my Weber is a tad different to that, but good for future reference!!

6,990?!! Dahahahah

Just as i thought! ill do that then, cheers buddy

Hey guys, recently got myself a 32/32 Weber Sprints can order in an adaptor plate for a 33/26 weber, and by looking at the picture of the plate in their book it looks to be the same one which i will require for my 32/32. Can anyone either confirm or deny this?? Thanks guys

Not that speed restrictions cross the mind of P platers 90% of the time >.<

Ahahahah "and do skids" yeah well my setup atm is going to be the ra40 tie rod tubes, ends, lca's and struts... So i reckon i'm set, time to get the money for new springs and install one weekend!! Thanks for all the help guys, wouldn't be able to do it without the help!!

Hmmmm, so how do i recenter the steering rack??

Had a look through my handy Gregory's Corolla manual, will i need the Tie Rod and Tie Rod End, or just the Tie Rod End from a ra40? Dankershun!!

ah ok, so say if i get a stock RA40 spring, and a stock KE70 Spring, and they are the same height....that means a lowered RA40 spring will actually lower my car? Cheers
-
Sick thanks for that Falken! I've been thinking next about the springs.....considering they would be designed to hold a heavier car, how would they sit on my Ke-70? If i were to purchase a pair of Low King Springs would they lower it, or just revert the car to stock Ke-70 levels? Already been down to car shop, and there is no Super Low option for the RA40 struts, so that rules out that option Thanks guys Ps: Ra40 Tie Rod ends......just grab them from a celica in upi, or buy new?
-
I have also been told that ra40/ke30/ke55 all have the same LCA lengths
-
Yeah they are just stock ra40 LCA's, the bloke i bought them from suggested purchasing some sigma LCA's, saw your thread about the struts, so I'm reasonably confident it should all fit in......just contemplating whether i have the money currently!!! and possibly need to source some sigma LCA's.....upullit it may be

It's possible......but i wouldn't say it is worth the time and effort. Check out the difference between a FWD corolla, like your own, the AE82, and compare it to the AE82 engine bay. Undertaking such a task is a pioneering effort!!!, cheaper, safer, more reliable just to purchase a factory RWD. Although i have seen a video of a RWD Civic.......i believe the engine was moved to the boot of the car :y:

Managed to swap a weber that was lying aroundin my shed for a set of Ra40 front struts, seem to be in working order and such. Also purchased a 32/32 DGAV weber today, might try and install on sunday night. Just need to sus out how these struts are gonna work and all that, previously bolted into a ke55 coupe.... :P Also located a "Spoiler Spec Louver" which i will HOPEFULLY be purchasing soon!! Also got a spirit wing to match!! :y: Also gonna swap my crap offset S13 alloys for some MA61 rims, hell yeah! So all in all everything is moving forward, small things at the moment, going to try and lower the girl soonish....depends what happens with the front struts! I'll get some photo's up tomorrow, too late, dark and tired atm!!
