Here's a few options that are "bolt in"
* Early KE30 seats('74-'76) with KE20 rails
* Autotechnica race seats with KE20 rails
Although with the KE30 seats the 'recliner' lever slightly fowls on the rails lever (nothing that a bit of bending wont fix....)
I have also found with the Autotechnica seats that you may need to put a small spacer on the outer side (Between seat & rail) depending on the seat shape.
I have used 2 different styles of Autotechnica seats & only 1 style needed this spacer (only 10-20mm) due to touching the 'B' pillar, therefore restricting seatbelt function.
Hope this helps with your search for comfort......
Cheers

Thanks ill see if i can find some cheap Autotechnica seats, it happened to be coincidence that you replied in this thread, as the car I might be getting seats for is you old KE20 (I'm buying it off Dan) I might see if there are other more subtle bucket seats though.

beams 3SGE, makes 158kw non turbo I'm pretty sure, and you can get turbo parts to bolt straight on.

very out there machine, looks like it would tare the sand up pretty well. You need some wide wheels with sand tyres.

hows it look with the new springs? are they lows or SLs? you should have got pedders or something else, but king springs are cheap for what they are just look forward in a couple of years when you car gets lower cause there sagging. But they are cheap and do the job how much did you pay for them, if you don't mind me asking?

my ae92 rolla sits on 3100 at 110kmph with 205/45r17 wheels/tyres.

read somewhere that 175/50R13 tyres are OK to run on 7" wide tyres? http://www.minisport.com.au/prod646.htm Thats what the mini guys run on there 13x7" wheels.
-
Would anyone think it would be worth getting these tyres - http://www.minisport.com.au/prod646.htm
They say that its OK to run 175/50r13 tyres on a 7" rim, what do the people here think?

ah dam, where there any 4x110 mitsubishi's? also unrelated to this exactly but would 205/60r13 tyres on my mags I have for my ke20 be too big a profile? (pretty sure they are) the standard wheels/tyres where 155/70r12 I know that they will fit under the guards ok but will the speedo be out by too much?
-
Oh ye the wheels need to go on a ke20, that's why I put it in this topics.

Hey what is the old Mitsubishi 4 stud pattern, just need to know cause i can get some 13"s cheap, only problem is the guy that has them doesn't know what the stud pattern is. Tryed searching but couldn't find anything.

I got some cheap 13x7 jelly beans off ebay for just over $150 cleaned them up and they look great, only problem is finding tyres that are wide enough.
BTW they are 4x110 too, last I looked on ebay there where some 17"s off a old rota.

hey does anyone know if any later model corolla seats will go into ke20 mounts? or, kan i swap the ke20 rails onto say ke30/55 seats?
cheers
Would also like to know aswell.

Anyone know where to get some 195 or 205/50r13 tyres anywhere, tried some Tyre places but they are too big a profile and are like $170 each.
-
ended up selling for $1

Found out wheels are magnum brand, made in western Australia. But no offset on them pretty sure there from the 70's though.

if its the oil filter, just grab a genuine one there like $18 for one, it will probably be - yzze1, which is just about every corolla engine made to late 2009 as they went to a cartridge type filter.

In speedway you arent aloud to port or polish the heads. they must be standard. You can only do very minor headwork in speedway. basically you can only do minor stuff to everything. lol
How do they tell?

I know this is an old thread but would the commodore rear shocks work on the back of my ke20?

Hey bud,
Looks like a great start. I've always been a fan of the Lexus white with blue pearl through it. I think Subaru do it to, I believe they call it Arctic or Winter white.
ye I like that colour I see it all the time at work
but I don't think I could afford that much probably just a respray in the same colour.

This is my first ke20 project, which I will be fixing up now. Would like to keep it pretty original (well maybe make it look JDM) as all the interior is overrated, and has no missing parts (but needs to be put back together), maybe just lower it a bit and put some superlites on. It has one little spot of rust to be fixed and a little in the bonnet and then I will be getting it resprayed in either the factory white that it is now or maybe in a different white (any ideas would be great i.e - some pics of other white ke20's and what the paint code is.), but it will defiantly be white.
Just a note the pictures are not current (from 07 I think) will get some more pictures this weekend when the car is at my house. Will also post progress as it comes along.
First thing to be done is fix rust and a respray, then rebuild the 4k with 3k bigport head to get a little bit more power, then add some JDM stuff, and some wheels.
edit: will now have a worked 5k
