  1. Ye true, well I'm getting an whole engine (4k with 3k big port head) and a 4speed k40 in the ke20 I'm buying for $600 (the $600 is the price for the car and engine) one little bit of rust and the interior is overrated! but then yes I am buying it from a friend.

  2. If you are in Victoria, i can guarantee you need a "mod plate" as the car was not available in Australia with that engine.

     

    I believe this also applies in other states.

     

    this may be the case, but I am unsure about QLD as with my old ae92 corolla which had the 1.6 4afc factory, had a 4age put in and because it came out with that engine, from the factory all I had to do was just call QLD transport and change the engine number with the transport dep.

  3. is it too hard to mount a booster in a ke20 with a 2t, cause ive got a 20 here with a 3k bigport engine and looking for a engine with a bit more power, and because the 2t came out in the overseas 20's you don't need a mod plate, or so ive been told.

  4. not sure how long my engine (4afc 284000k's) has left in it but by the sounds of it, it should last a while I hope, I service it whenever I can or every 5000kms (I work at toyota and we get free genuine oil and a genuine oil filter is only $10 so it doesnt cost much to service) it has used a little bit of oil but blows no smoke has about 284000k's someone else from work had the same car and engine like mine and he revved the crap out of his all the time and at 330000k's he did a tapper cover gasket and the engine was spotless, so if you flog them and look after them they should be fine.
