  1. hey guys, I got some more pic of my corolla today, if you wanna see them, click........ HERE HERE HERE HERE HERE :P Its not a daily driver, its used sometimes to go places and also in competition and if i put wider wheels on it i wont need to put flares on it cos my rolla is in a way that the wheels will just expand into the car not outwards, hence the fact no flares :)
  2. well i don't think there is any law about width in tas, because i know somebody with a chev bel-air with a 500 big block in it and its back wheels are 15"x14 aka drag wheels :P Ive got a mate with a ke20 with 13"x7 hotwires, and they don't look too bad
  3. ok thanks I'm probably not gonna get them hence the fact there is nothing wrong with the jellys do you think 13x7 would be good, or is that a bit too wide I'm definately thinking about putting wider wheels on it once the tires on my 10 wear down, but what do you think would be better, 6's or 7's
  4. my dash pad is cracked... :hmm: I'm looking for another one at the moment but so far no luck. I have this mate who owns the company Just Jap in tasmania and he says he knows a guy who a really good vinyl welder that could fix it brand new, so maybe i will go for him, but would be much easier just to buy another one and screw it on
  5. there's also a Toyota Corolla KE 20 / 25 Dash Top for sale, brand new and still in plastic, if you have a cracked dash pad then you should get it :hmm:
  6. yeah I'm probably gonna try and get it, mph is useless nowadays, and its a pain in the ass always trying to think how to convert kmph to mph :hmm:
  7. hey everyone, decided to start another topic :hmm: Has anyone ever seen one of these before? KE10 speedo with kmph, not mph
  8. Hell, if I had that much money to spare I would get one of these: http://www.exoticillusions.com.au :hmm:
  9. haha, they should introduce it to some cocky commo drivers :hmm:
  10. thanks for the replys guys count so far: YES: 2 No preference: 1 NO: 2 :D Okay so would you think spending $285 for a set of four would be worthit (keeping in mind i could always sell the 'jellybeans') but also getting new tyres. the pic of the wheel is actually the set for sale Would bigger be better? would the black wheels look good with the white '10? ohhh, did you have to show the pic of the globes/simmons, it makes the the black ones look shit... :hmm:
  11. Hi everyone, this is just a topic for people giving me their opinions about these wheels, do you think they would look better on my KE10 than the jellybeans? My current wheels are 13"x5.5 These wheels are 14"x6, do you think they would look better? my car is in my signature :hmm: What's your opinion?
  12. give us some more pics :paw: from what i can see in your avatar it looks very neat and tidy :jamie:
  13. I have the very same problem with my diff in my 10, it whines like a bitch, especially at high speeds. Once a diff whines, it just means that its worn and needs to be replaced, I'm on the look for another diff right now :jamie: It doesnt do anything to the overall performance, it just pisses you off...
  14. thats what i meant :jamie:
  15. Yes finding a person who specialises in metal polishing wouldnt be too hard it just depends on the cost. yeah ive already tried the sandpapering them down and using autosol, but they are being real pricks, its so bloody hard to get a bit of shine out of them, i used a fair bit of autosol on them a little while before taking the photo, but by the rate I'm going it would probably be cheaper to buy new wheels than to keep buying autosol :jamie: its a tricky one, the fella who decided to paint the wheels with $2 spray paint needs to be smacked in the face...... really hard...
  16. :jamie: Yes, autosol has been my friend for a long time, actually got some in the garage right now  Ive already got some on it, but the wheels don't shines that much, they are ok but not merely as good as they can be..... the wheels when i bought it were painted with cheap-arse black paint which looked like dog vomit, so i buffed the paint off until they were their original silver colour, but they never did look all that shiny, they are nearly like a matt metal colour maybe i should just use shitloads of autosol. like 3 cans for each wheel :paw:
  17. na the wheels stick out in a way that if I put wider ones on the wheels will just expand into the car, not outwards thanks for all your responses though, very helpful how about this for an idea, do you think I should just keep the wheels i have on it now and buff them a bit more or re-chrome them?
  18. You think so? Ok, I'll keep that in mind :jamie: Well what do you think it would look like with the same type of wheels but have them 13x7, at the moment they are 13x5.5
  19. hehe my corolla as gone over 9999999 and has reset to 0000000, and now its on around 2000000+ this is mainly because its been racing most of its life, still goes like a charm :jamie:
  20. I also have another mate who's building a Corolla KE20 with a 7k motor :jamie: Ive had a look at your corolla and its very impressive, its obvious you've gone with the tuner look, but I like to keep my corolla old school :paw: I'm also think of getting new 13x7 wheels for it, either superlites or hotwires, what do you guys think will look best?
  21. even better!! :jamie: I have a mate with a supercharged 5k KE10, and i know how that goes, so I know that your car is a weapon :paw:
  22. :jamie: GO COROLLA'S!!!! haha, i know that feeling well, seeing the ego-shattered face of a loser!! LOL
