JiP Posted October 18, 2006 Report Posted October 18, 2006 (edited) WoW, that is greatly inspirering. It makes me want to get out there and attack the rust on my project. God the guys jokes are lame but make me crack up. Edited October 18, 2006 by JiP_01 Quote
demuire Posted October 18, 2006 Author Report Posted October 18, 2006 The videos are fun though, I wonder how many hours of footage they have, I recon compiling the videos would have taken almost as long as building the car! And yeah, wow. Like, "yeah rusted floorpan? No problems, just cut the whole thing out, we'll fabricate a new one. oh, the front chassis rails are rusted too? We'll replace those too..." It looks like apart from the sills which look like pre-fabricated ones, everything else was made in-house! And how COOL is lead soldering??? SOOO much cooler than bog :D Quote

irokin Posted October 19, 2006 Report Posted October 19, 2006 Gee they got some hungry mice there. Surely a better shell could have been found...... Thats what I was thinking. Why start with such a rubbish base? Quote
Jason Posted October 19, 2006 Report Posted October 19, 2006 i think because z are rare in sweedan or something? assuming that his was imported Quote
demuire Posted October 19, 2006 Author Report Posted October 19, 2006 Yes he bought said Z from USA, Z's are apparently very rare in Sweden. It was supposed to have "no rust", they only discovered how rusty it was after they stripped it down. And then I guess it was easier to fix it than to find another car to import :D Hmm... Zed... :S Oh hey look, there's one on eBay ;) Quote
Redwarf Posted October 19, 2006 Report Posted October 19, 2006 There's a one owner for sale in Wavell Heights at the mo..... Quote
demuire Posted October 19, 2006 Author Report Posted October 19, 2006 Zed's are so sexy... I want a Z car AND a Z bike :) Quote
ancullen Posted October 20, 2006 Report Posted October 20, 2006 Greedy bugger. Although a 240Z would be nice, especially the one Zoom built with a 1JZ-GTE. :) Quote
demuire Posted October 20, 2006 Author Report Posted October 20, 2006 (edited) I recon Mull's N1 RB26DETT 240Z would be more fun than anything else anyone has ever built :) So yes, I don't think I'd want an all-original overrated sorta 240z, because I'd want to cut it up and do silly things with it but I wouldn't have the heart too (seeing as they're rather rare, and all that), I'd prefer an already cut-up 240z, cause then I'd have less problems with doing silly things with it :D "Z" is the best character of the alphabet. See, you can even turn it upside down, and it's still good to go ;) Edited October 20, 2006 by demuire Quote
ancullen Posted October 21, 2006 Report Posted October 21, 2006 A 240Z with an N1 RB26DETT??? That's so cool!!! Although, any 240Z with one of the original Z-motors and triple Webers is pretty cool too. But then again, Webers can make just about anything cool - even a K-motor. :) Quote
