hi all I'm new to the whole corolla thing, i have a question for u all i have brought a ae80 rolla and is doesnt have the standard 1.3 2a in it it has a 3s scv motor with 5 spd manual in her i just wont to know what car this is out of and is 1.5 1.6 ect any info on this would be great!!!

is it a 3sfe engine? also what scv mean?

 

I was confused at this thread so i didnt post yesterday, What i can see is that instead of having th 2A he has a 3A, I think the 3S us a typo.

The 3a is 1452cc It could be out of a mid 80s tercel and svc could mean swirl control valve.

ohh true true yeh thats what i thought, are they a good motor?? or just poo?? lol i plan to restore the car and hope fully get a twincam for it any good things i should know?? cherrs!!

Might have been the 2a or 3a in the ae80 not 100% sure though, Not a very powerfull engine but are reliable and will get you there.
