I found mentioned an AE112R Sportivo had the TRD Pack which was limited on the limited edition I emailed the guy who made the post and requested additional information and he sent me this:

"There is only 4 of the cars with the TRD pack. toyota along with t cam motorsports which is toyota motorsport with Neil Bates made the upgrade packs: engine makes 144kws not 115kws go to neil bates website and search for 01 turbo corolla TRD find more info there."

there are about a gazillion web pages for neil bates and I have spent a couple of hours searching I tried everything I can think of but I still can't find any mention of the TRD Pack, I'm now in the middle of a brain fart and can't think which way to proceed...

hints, cheats, ideas? .... please???

i'm sure you could get 144kw out of your car if you wanted to spend some money.

Remember, even if you retro-fitted the TRD pack it will never be a valued as a proper TRD sportivo, so if you put the money in the right places you should get more than 144kw, if a power gain is what you are after.

I'm not after the power gain, I'm just interested in learning more...

I googled "neil bates", and 01 Turbo, 01 sportivo, 01 corolla, trd corolla, and it didn't find anything, when I searched on neil bates alone I came up with about 20 ish pages...

I couldn't find anything about it...at all... not on the toyota, trd website, not in any shape or form....I gave up and went for a stomping drive through norton summit.

His name is actually 'Neal'. Not that it found me anything of use to you anyway. :D

hiya,

well what caused my curiosity was this ad:

http://www.carsales.com.au/used-cars/priva...matchallpartial

and in it he says:

"The only on for sale in australia with the genuine toyota TRD upgrade pack only 20 genuine TRD performance packs were sold buy toyota. "

and that's what spiked my curiosity, so I emailed him and he said:

"There is only 4 of the cars with the TRD pack. toyota along with t cam motorsports which is toyota motorsport with Neil Bates made the upgrade packs: engine makes 144kws not 115kws go to neil bates website and search for 01 turbo corolla TRD find more info there."

So I googled Neil Bates and 01 turbo corolla TRD for more information and I couldn't find it.

Then whilst in my searching I found this:

"Neal Bates bought ALL of the ones Canberra Toyota had in stock for his test cars so I can't even get my hands on one lol."

I'm just curious because it's something I'd never heard of... don't you ever do that?? (I do it all the time!)

.....

and Kangaroosa, thank you for the link :D

I work at toyota when these mdoel rollas come out adn i have never heard of a limited edition trd version this guy is telling porkies . Toyota made a couple if different versions of the car prototype models non had that power figure stated .

The only TRD upgrade pack that I ever read about whilst having a crack at googling for you, was a suspension upgrade. Not even a mention of an engine/power upgrade was spotted in the many pages I visited.

I don't know about anyone else, but I couldnt even locate a webpage that was solely about Neal Bates. Let alone searching for info on the supposed page.
