JiP Posted June 8, 2007 Report Posted June 8, 2007 Wreckers, see if they'll let you cut up a car/van/4x4 roof or bonnet. Quote
oh what a nissan feeling! Posted June 8, 2007 Report Posted June 8, 2007 Try caravan builders, boat trailer builders, boat builders, they always have something for me, usually for a small cashy fee too. Quote
Jason Posted June 8, 2007 Author Report Posted June 8, 2007 will do, Jip i need it to be 100*100*15-20  Quote
love ke70 Posted June 8, 2007 Report Posted June 8, 2007 just rock up some place, people are much nicer to your face... and to be honest, thats a fair hunk of aluminium, i doubt many shops would chuck something like that. Quote
Croc Posted June 8, 2007 Report Posted June 8, 2007 Try a aluminum gate and fence place. you'll find that they will use 12mm and maybe thicker for base plate to bolt posts down. Ask nicely without attitude and it shouldn't cost to much. Quote

J go to your nearest scrap metal recyclers and ask them if you can look in their aluminium scrap bin. minimal charge.. even if the piece you find is to big it can always be cut down.......will see my mate tomorrow and see if he has some in his yard... will contact you if i find a piece to suit your needs cheers Quote
love ke70 Posted June 8, 2007 Report Posted June 8, 2007 i used to work in a scrap metal yard, and again, a block that size of aluminium wont be easy to find. if you do wanna try though, just go into industrial metal services. they are in browns plains and open saturday mornings. take some scrap metal with you so its not a wasted trip anyway  Quote
