thanks for that but did your box have a 20 spline shaft???... see pic .. click to enlarge......if so what yoke did you use ...

could someone identify this 5 speed box for me please i think it's from an early corolla, has a 20 spline shaft, also i need a yoke to fit drive shaft. any help would be appeciated there is a number stamped on the side of the box 33111-10031 2 cheers IS IT A K50 I hope this is in the right section??????

i have a 4k in my ute and it's an alloy head......has been port & polished flow tested etc...with a 30/70 cam with twin 40mm webers.... i don't seem to be getting the best out of it, seems it should be giving more than what it's giving at the moment. any help would be great

here is a pic of my 4k with worked head 30/70 cam and twin 40mm webers....goes very well indeed....as someone said stick with the webers

putting these webers on the ute next week along with a worked 4k alloy head which has been ported/polished/flowed and cc,s, followed by a 40/80 cam.... hopefully this will make a lot of difference see pics before you all ask the question "YES" it is a toyota (toyota publica) with 4k engine and 4 speed box (also comes with 5 speed)

WELLL DONE SIR,,, Do you notice much difference with the shifter being back an extra 2-3 inches..??? does it interfere with the handbrake at all..... reason for asking is that i will be doing the same shortly myself to my vehicle.. cheers

yep that was me alright trev (the oldish person driving "not that old thanks") corolla-ute. by the way the colour is (correction) blood orange with orange pearl.....but thanks for the comments......

go to your nearest scrap metal recyclers and ask them if you can look in their aluminium scrap bin. minimal charge.. even if the piece you find is to big it can always be cut down.......will see my mate tomorrow and see if he has some in his yard... will contact you if i find a piece to suit your needs cheers

top box from i think a ke70 5 speed the bottom box out of a toyota public 4 speed notice the bellhousing on both cannot be separated

thanks ,but i think repair would be a lot cheaper than a new aluminium tank thanks anyway cheers

the holes are very small (perforations) so have to do the best i can .. don't want to make the holes bigger as someone suggested

it was some epoxy putty but it did not work,... will take it off clean it up and try again, thanks for your input cheers

does anyone know where to get a fuel tank repaired in the brisbane area.......has got a few holesw in it.. tried to repair myself but was not satisfactory, any info would be very helpful.. thanks

pic just for you from brisbane (toyota corolla ute (publica deluxe ) import stock standard they have a 4k motor with either 4 0r 5 speed box same car as above except wheels and another paint job...

well there is one is sunny brisbane as well, in process for motor change 5k or 7k toyota corolla ute (publica deluxe) APPROX 1984 MODEL......
