hey guys, thinking of getting the corolla resprayed in a month or so. its white atm, and would wanna keep it white. just the paint is looking pretty faded and has cracks appearing in places. also has a little bit of surface rust and dints scattered all over it and wavy panels, so i would want to get them straightened.

what sort of prices would i be looking at to get the panels straightened and getting the car resprayed? i'd pull all the bits off myself, i'd just need the prep work and spraying done by somebody else.

what sort of price gap is there between spraying in acrylic and 2pac? what are some good places around the eastern suburbs i should check out?

thanks!

All panel beaters wouldnt bother spraying acrylic unless you specify it. Even then they will try to talk you out of it. It will most likely cost more in the long run with all the rubbing back and buffing time associated with it.

I just had the whole front of my daily painted at Bucket Panels in Moorabbin. Cash job was $670 including them rubbing it back in prep and giving the whole car a cut and polish. (2 front gaurds, bonnet, front bar, filler panel, grill, and blended through the doors. Awesome job!

They were the cheapest in Moorabbin if that helps.

I painted my first car 5 years ago, VL Calias, My old mans a painter by trade and runs a paint shop in FTG, and it still cost me $6,000 with all the labor for free and the materials cost price. if you do it probably it can be pricey, but there are always gonna be the cheap jobs for $1500, but then you end up with over spay on everything.

Try Style Rod Panels in Croydan, i hear they do some cheap but decant work at times.

Last full respray, in 2pak and including repairs, cost me a slab of beer all up

Handy having relatives who spay for a living.

Seriously if you want a trip to Ballarat, see Phil at P A Custom Paints. Doesn't advertise and is always flat out.
