Off to that big corolla heaven...also know as sims metal...

Towies coming tomorrow to pick her up and then off to sims...

Farewell! She was a good car...even tho the only time I drove her was off the trailer into her spot on my driveway (Where she endevoured to dump ALL the oil from her transmisson onto the driveway). Best $50 I ever spent!

Heres a picture of the corolla no-one here ever got to meet...(maybe Felix)

Ben you should get club rego on your '20 and give it a good thrashing on the weekends at motorsport events :P you can further develop it to suit your needs as you go along and funds permit.

at least then you can go hard and not worry about crashing/breaking your everyday road car. Peter said it cost him $90 for 6 months club rego on his '20 race car. that's what i'm going to get on my '10 once i get it up and running properly.

Nah thats for hotrods and historic cars etc etc etc

Conditional registration is what your looking for. You don't need a saftey cert for it either....its a owner self check.

actually they both look relevant. the one Fook mentioned is for vehicles 30 years and older, but the one Ben mentioned has pretty much the same driver limitations but doesn't require a safety certificate.

will have to check with Peter to see what he is running for sure. the conditional rego stands out in my mind though....will check.

Just flicked through the conditional rego thingy, doesn't sound like the right sort of rego to me? That one sounds like rego for like farm machinery and other such things that are usually used off road (or on private property, construction sites etc) but require limited road use as transport. I don't think a "club race car" will fit in that category...

Something that stuck in my head:

All vehicles which comply with normal registration requirements are not eligible for conditional registration

yea i don't know. would be best to check with mainroads i guess.

i saw what Ben stated in the PDF for conditional rego:

Conditional Registration Code OL3 -

4.4.3 Registration Limitations - OL

"OL3 - The registered operator must be a member of an authorised motoring club and the vehicle must only be used in conjunction with an authorised club event, or for testing purposes within 15km of home address."

i might give Peter a call tonight and ask him what he is running.

Rob, Datgirl, what type of rego do you guys run on your competition cars?
