rotorace Posted July 24, 2007 Report Posted July 24, 2007 Hi all, i was just wondering if early ke30 disc brakes will fit under 12" rims? My ke20 has to look standard but ke30 parts are easier to get. Any help appreciated. Thanks Quote

anastasios Posted July 26, 2007 Report Posted July 26, 2007 just use 55 brakes they are better and use 13s noone will care if they are 1 in bigger Quote
PMP020 Posted July 30, 2007 Report Posted July 30, 2007 people will care if the wheels are 1" bigger because you will not bebable to run orignal 12" trim rings and centre caps, so it wont look original/factory. the standard ke20 brakes work fine for a standard motor Ace. cheers scott Quote

You just have to make sure that you get the right bearings, use the backing plate off the Ke30 , but I had spacers made up the difference in bolt size. These are the bolts that hold the backing plate to the sturt. You are then able to use 13" wheels off a Ke36 wagon ,I believe that they came out with similar hub caps , you may even be able to use original caps ? You will find that the stud patern is 114.3 mm PCD on the Ke30's and 110 mm PCD on Ke20's asuming that earlier corollas are the same. Thats why everyone uses mazda 13" wheels when they're looking for bigger wheels on early corollas. I just had my rae axles re drilled to the new stud patern! Good Luck Ben Dover Quote
