what suspention does it have? (pictures please) - Same as all the other ZZE122 Corollas. MacPherson at the front, torsion beam at the back

so it has at newer 2ZR-FE engine? the 2ZR came out in the ZRE14x series, this is a ZZE122, therefore will have the 1ZZ engine

Have you heard of the "Lotus Exige", do what lotus did to this engine. The Lotus uses a supercharged version of the 2ZZGE from the Corolla Sportivo. These engines are expensive, as are the supercharger kits (never sold here, only in Europe/UK). A turbo would be a much better option

Hiro - you can get a Blitz supercharger kit for the ZZT231 Celica - it makes more grunt than the Lotus version and costs WAY less.

The best options for the 1ZZ-FE are as follows:

- Bore it out, put in 2ZZ-GE pistons and sleeves and use a 2ZZ-GE head. This makes a 1932cc engine, which if it has the same kW/L and Nm/L as the 2ZZ-GE, should have 151kW and 194Nm. It is then possible to use the Celica supercharger kit (suitably adapted for the Corolla). The Blitz kit apparently makes 240hp (179kW) and 180lb/ft (240Nm) on the 2ZZ-GE. Again assuming the same power and torque per litre for the increased displacement engine, then 258hp (193kW) and 193lb/ft (261Nm) shouldn't be out of the question. :y:

- Turbo it. www.turbo-kits.com provide a kit to add 75-100hp (I presume at the engine) using a GT28R turbo. They also offer an upgrade for US$295 to a GT28RS or GT2871R. Don't know how much difference that makes though.
