I've been using V-Power racing in the 4agze for a couple of months now and it loves it. used to ping off it's head, now it's great, smoother and more get up and go. could even dial in a couple of extra degrees of timing.

when i saw v-power racing at the shell servo it said it has ethanol in it. so its 100 RON?

Its actually 102ron from what the sales guy was telling me....and i've put a tank through my car and it loved it....extra power and more torque. :P

Minimum 100RON and 5% ethanol.

 

The fuel runs a little leaner that regular premium, so you can lean out the fuel a little in your tune, but it also has great det protection, so you can up the boost and ignition. Just awesome.

if it runs a little leaner than premium, wouldnt you have to richen the mixtures a bit :D

 

it may be great, but i still can't justify shells pricing on it. it should be cheaper than the old optimax because essentially all they've done is watered it down with ethanol!

Up until this week I hadnt tried any of the 100 octane, but now I have. Just like every one says, its far superior. I had been experimenting with all the different kinds of boosters with mixed success. I believe that in the long term a professionally blended and quality controlled fuel is always going to be better than whatever sludge i can mix up in the tank. The car ran far too erratically on a shitload of booster.

Sorry mate, what I ment was it has a more complete burn.

 

I'd say it carries a premium because no one else has come out with a competeing 100RON fuel yet.

I personally hate octane boosters... to me they are like electric turbos.

the BP at Crafers in Adelaide used to sell 100 octane fuel. My mate loved the stuff but I've never seen it anywhere else.

got some last night. its good. i got it wrong earlier though it is more expensive than normal vpower.
