righto i thought i better get around to leting everybody know whats happening with ol 30 i have decided to totaly redo the whole car as a project but not modify anything to drasticly mabey a set of hotwires a 5k if i get excited but i just want to have it look like it basicly was 30 years ago

 

so yeh thats what the plans are

 

oh yeah i am also after a 5k in tas if anyone knows of any

update started to get the car ready for a bit of rust extracion but does any one know the best way to fix the rust in these pictures also should i try to straighten that very front bar??

with the rust, depends how you want to do it? personally i'd get a grinder with a wire brush wheel and go nuts, clean it out properly, fishoil the f**k out of the inside then weld a nice plate to the outside, as for the lower rad support panel i'd give it a go at trying to get it back straight,

Yeah thats the best way to do it........

I can tell you from experience that replacing that whole front rail is a rather expensive thing.

Grind, Fish-oil, Plate = Good idea

Replace Rail = $$$$$$$$$$$

Update: Started removing rust from those couple of major spots to and had a bit of ago at the radiator support but neighter got finished cos of that bloody rain :cool: ;) :dance:

so ill get onto it though the week and post some pics soon
