Hey all i've recently bought a rather healthy ae112 sportivo turbo,I want to keep it that way but,i also want to get the most from it without playing with the internall's,

Make it breath

Anything that will make it breath better will be a good thing..... plus you'll get the side benefit of a slight jump in boost

 

Put in a boost bleed valve to up the boost.

 

 

BUT do remember that the turbo was fitted to a internally stock standard 7a-fe, so you wouldn't want to go upping the boost to much. If your prepared for researching you could/maybe/possibly up it more than whats considered "safe" levels

I've got one (and love it) and just yeasterday I put in a CAI, it's noisy (but according to everyone I've asked COOL!!!) and it's increased performance, both on take-off and high end. The shocks and springs have been replaced to make it an nicer ride and you can also re-map the ECU and up the boost, but I'm not sure how the internals would cope. I've also had the turbo replaced with a bigger IHI and the difference was noticable (but it's costly).

at the alsolute most you want to up the boost to is 10psi but i really don't think the motor will like it much due to it being exactly the same and the n/a 7afe

 

so probably to get the most out of the 7afte you may have to play with the internals in the long run but mainly replacing the rods and pistons. i personally would go with aftermarket rods from say argo and stock 4agze pistons( 4a and 7a motors use the same bore size just different stroke sizes) :wink:

i thaught the 7afe didnt have the strongest crank eather

if you really want it to be a beast but want any sort of decent resale value, i'd build another motor entirely. that way you can put the stock motor back in when you want to sell it.

well you could always get the standard nitrated or maybe use a 4a crank(don't qoute me on the 4a crank though)

 

plus i would also change the box as well to a e5* series box as well which is bolt up to the *a series blocks :wink:

with an engine conversion, the motor from the donor car must be same age or younger than the car its going into.

i jus put a pod and plumb back b`o`v on fri n yes u need the b`o`v else the waist gate goes nuts lol on mine i cracked the manifild so got 1 made up that made a lil bit of a dif exaust n then computers are the way 2 go aparently n been told by a few workshops i don't wanna open my engine either

what did they make the manifold up in? what sort of cost? pics?
