I'm looking at laithing both my primary and seacondary venturis.

The engine I have is a 3K-C and I belive that the standered venturis are, 21/24 mm

What would be the largest size you would recomened, the take them out to, it is only a 1200cc!

any help would be appreciated.

don't bother,it will upset the flow of the carby,if you want greater flow buy a larger carb.

Sounds like nonsense but bigger venturis will give less performance. Venturis are designed to accelerate the airflow through the carb. The acceleration creates a pressure drop that pulls the fuel from the bowl.

 

Larger venturis = less pressure drop = less fuel pulled out of the bowl. You may be able to improve on it, but it may just as easily got pear shaped without a bit more diggin.

Hey guys a bit of an old topic but i recenlty replaced my seacondary venturi and i have noticed some increase in the power when its working, also gives a deeper induction noise.

and you can't machine them... there too poris, i've tryed, theres bigger ones out there my turbo carb has 24/29 (if i remember right) but you can't really go bigger than that, my secondary isnt really much of a venturi, but its only there for boost so it doesnt matter to me lol

Increasing venturi size can definitely improve performance, but too big can decrease performance. All about sizing it correctly.
