yeah, now its back to way it runs stock, but its not getting any fuel out of the tank

or could it be something to do with air being in the lines?

try putting a little bit off fuel in carby.. have you tried that yet? then crank it over. it should start and run for a sec or 2. which should pull all the air that is in the lines

I can see 2 identical size pipes. 1 is the breather, 1 is the fuel feed. The small pipe is the return line, and that's what your trying to draw fuel through. It doesn't have a tube going into the fuel :)

ok just did that now, i didnt understand why u wanted me to do that before, mechanical fuel pump works, now to try that with the electric one

so putting fuel in carby worked then.... well what do ya know, i was helpful lol

oh wait, it was just running on the fuel in the fuel bowl :)

well that solves that, it has to do with you tank then. try what beerhead said, check you put it on the right pipe, maybe switch em over and try from there?

its the right pipe, i've even checked the manual and i don't really want to have to cut the other pipe if its wrong.

 

the only thing that is different now then when i did it first was that i've cut that pipe

If you've got a compressor, undo your fuel line where the filter is under the bonnet and blast air through it, it'll make a mess under the back end at which hose it's linked to. Are all 3 pipes on the top the same?

Dude....no offence, but installing an electric fuel pump is one of the simplest "do it at home" mods you can do to your own car. If you can't work out how to do it, maybe you should get a mate/dad etc to give you a hand befor you start a fire in your boot or something!!!!! :)

i know exactly how to do everything, and i know how easy it is, and i have done everything correctly but it isnt sucking fuel out of the fuel tank, so I'm assuming something is blocked in the fuel tank

 

i did the air compressor test, and it is the correct line, i also blew paint out of my engine bay :)

 

so its not me that has made a mistake, something else has gone wrong

May be a stupid question, but is there enough fuel in the tank??????

 

If you left things disconnected for a few hours some fuel would have evaporated, but not much. Was it low befor disconnecting the mechanical pump?

nah man theres plenty of fuel in the tank

try blowing down that line going into your fuel tank and see if its blocked.

 

else pump works - wired properly and flows correctly, lines are clear after pump, its self priming, tank connected correctly...

i can't see why it wouldnt work?
