hey i have a connector chopped off and i'm wondering if anyone can recognise

what it is meant to be for?

from what i can see that is your alt wiring and another plug maby,

yeah the grey ones are alternator.

the black one i'm not sure of but it goes to the other side of the motor.

so i don't know what the frayed ones are meants to be

Lay the loom out a bit more so we can get an idea of where the other wires are meant to go..

the connection i'm showing come out of a single strand. so they are meant to be near each other

As it has been stated, It is the alternator wiring.

No, The 3 pin oval plug and grey rubber boot are the alternator wires..

 

There are still more wires..

the black connector was for air con i reckon as it goes to the other side of the motor.

but the loose ones have got me stuffed

Yeah it's alot different to the 16v loom.

you might have to use a multimeter and find out to which pin on the ecu it goes if it does at all, no thick wire will.

I believe the chopped plug could be the o2 sensor due to the thicker grey wire in the bunch. Does the grey wire have a shield around the cables?

Then you have alternator plug, a/c pressure switch and possibly a speed sensor plug.

yeah i believe its the o2 sensor.

but now i don know where to get a connector!
