Taz_Rx Posted November 26, 2008 Report Posted November 26, 2008 Yeah I find his power fiqures a bit hard to believe as well. My old 4k (granted it had no work except for a mild cam) made 70rwkw with 8psi up its guts! You sure it wasn't 95rwhp? which = 70rwkw Quote
Jono.B Posted November 26, 2008 Report Posted November 26, 2008 as I said before was not fully sure, but F@$k it I srtill love the zombie, and considering Ive fully stripped as much weight as its legal to do it goes pretty decent :P so yeah no complaints..jusrt thought I would have my input  Quote
hosedogg Posted November 27, 2008 Author Report Posted November 27, 2008 (edited) so would i also be required to run a rising rate fuel reg for the carby? or just box it and tune it? also am i able to just use the standard carby for now if i re jet it and that? Edited November 27, 2008 by hosedogg Quote
freakAE82 Posted November 27, 2008 Report Posted November 27, 2008 no no you all have it wrong the cheapest option would be a 20b rotar... that might get you 100kw.. how could no one think of that.. Quote
hosedogg Posted November 27, 2008 Author Report Posted November 27, 2008 just after reading a fair bit, i'm also gonna run a plumb back BOV when the rolla gets a turbo and gonna get one for the vl also. as the vl's got no BOV and running a 2k turbo, rather not kill it quicker, hide the cooler and do that no cop will know it's turbo  pretty sure i've worked it all out, just need to know about fuel supply. will the standard carby re jetted be enough? should i upgrade fuel pump? and will a rising rate reg be required? Cheers Matt Quote
Taz_Rx Posted November 27, 2008 Report Posted November 27, 2008 (edited) Have heard of a 5k making 90rwkw with a stock carby. Had the secondary jets in the primary holes and re-drilled secondaries. Never had any experience with boosted asians myself. IF you are going blow through (which you are by the sounds of it - BOV) then yes you need to upgrade the pump and run a RR reg. The only time you don't need to run the RR reg is if you're going draw-through, as the carb in not under pressure. Oh and have you been reading my projects thread? Re BOV discussion? hosedogg Posted November 28, 2008 Author Report Posted November 28, 2008 yeah was reading through your project thread and got up to the BOV bit and got kinda worried lol. so i'll get a RR reg and a weber and make up an airbox and what not  just gotta get the car registered 1st again now. irokin Posted November 28, 2008 Report Posted November 28, 2008 Turbo Charades use aisans. I have a sneeking suspicion they go close to bolting onto a K manifold too! I've also seen them flow enough for 200whp. Quote
hosedogg Posted December 2, 2008 Author Report Posted December 2, 2008 ok, so to get this done on the cheap, i'm guessing, turbo, j pipe, charade turbo carby, rr reg, cooler, piping and box the carby? Quote
Taz_Rx Posted December 2, 2008 Report Posted December 2, 2008 Don't need to box the charade carby as its from a carby turbo car. Just use the stock hat and you're set. Quote
hosedogg Posted December 2, 2008 Author Report Posted December 2, 2008 sweet as i might start searching ebay  Quote
