hi all

my 5k is mildy worked(flat tops ,cam, little head work, balanced etc )it currently has hydro lifters and everybody is telling me to go solid what must i do to change them eg lifters pushrods etc

any help would be much appreciated cheers

and what would i have to do to engineer my 5k in my ke25?

Ring your local transport authority.

 

I'm running the usual chev lifters and datsun A12 push-rods with 4k adjustable rocker gear.

Mine's getting built with Hydraulics, I have an aircooled boxer and that's enough on the menu as far as setting tappet clearance for me....

 

I won't be revving that hard either.

i want to be reving harder than 8000 thats for sure...i have no probs with hydrolic but for revs everyone tells me to go solid

 

Remember 8 grand is fairly high, maybe keep it with the hydros and if you

have trouble then swap them over. It sounds like for most applications it is not worth

the effort......
