my mate just wrote off his 1980's lightace..... a little highace lol

 

and i want to know if they have a 7k in them.

Could be a 4k if its a early 80s liteace

if its an early 1980's its probably only a 4K and it wont even have an electronic dizzy

what if its late 80's.... i think its around 87

A mate of mine owns an 89(i think) lite ace, I'm unsure what engine is in it but he seems to think its got a 1.8.

87 would make it a km36 witch had 5k. Thats if it has a K engine.

 

1.8 would be a 2y unless its a 1c diesel :P

Yeh, what's the model code? generally, the first letter stands for the type of engine in it, then the type of model, then the series, then variant (?). either way though, the first letter is of interest. find that, find the capacity, and you have your answer.

It might pay to open the bonnet and have a look, or in this case lift the seats up :P

 

It should still have the sticker on the motor saying the name, if it hasn't worn off. Or try the compliance plate and if you can't interpret it post the information and someone here will know
