paddypop_lion
1976 TOYOTA CORONA SE 4 DOOR 5 SPEED Original 201,000kms RT104 model 18R motor 5 speed celica gear box been fitted New clutch kit fitted New front shocks Magnaflow sports muffler 18r engine with original 200ks on the clock Alloy 15 inch rims with relatively new tyres Pioneer cd player with Pioneer 300w 6x9 rear speakers if sold at right price New Bucket seats in the front, (not the seats in the pics) Nice interior and almost perfect seats apart from a small cigarette burn in crease of back seat. Its go alot of work that needs to go into it, rust to fix up, paint, the engine needs a rebuild and the brakes upgrading. Once i'm finished with her she'll be a beauty i hope. If anyone has any recommendations on what i could do with her to improve the engine performance after rebuilding it or what parts of other cars would be able to fit in it would be much appreciated. manual
dude - that looks pretty clean already :) reason for keeping with the standard engine? surely something a little "sportier" would be right at home?? haha
Bowler
Looks pretty neat :). surely an 18rg would go alright in one of these...there are kits out there to increase the capacity to 2.2+ if I'm not mistaken too
Tally
hehehe eddie how you going its Tally... well basically the 18r in it now is a boat anchor... I have 18r extractors if you want... bolt in engines would be a 18RG... not that hard to get, but also not easy to get... but kinda hard to get in good condition these days... most would need rebuild.... also an 18RG is rated at between 100 - 150 hp... but most are tired by now... any other engine will have to be custom conversion... Bowler
does anyone know whether the G-series head will fit onto the 22r? one would think that'd be fairly close to a bolt in upgrade...
toyota_ae71
No the 18rg head will not fit on the 22r block, but you can put the 22r crank in the 18rg to stroke it... but to my understanding it isn't a straight swap. Nice clean corona mate, could do with some lowering and some more old school wheels IMO. deffinetely worth the money and can vouch that they do pack a nice punch CLICK ME CLICK ME Edited August 15, 2009 by toyota_ae71
paddypop_lion
anyone have an 18RG motor lying about? :) Yeah it's a beauty, but i'm gonna make it more than that hopefully. I doubt i'll be able to find a decent 18RG motor which is a shame. but i'll snatch it up if anyone knows of one. Thanks for the kind words guys! Big G
That last post was six and a half years ago. You might have a better chance of a response if you pm the guy.
