mattress Posted December 10, 2009 Report Posted December 10, 2009 Coilovers look the goods. Might be the go for my KE10. If you don't mind me asking, what sort of money did you pay for the kit? How do they mount? Chop the lower spring seat off the original strut and weld on the sleeve for the kit? Quote

If you don't mind me asking, what sort of money did you pay for the kit? How do they mount? Chop the lower spring seat off the original strut and weld on the sleeve for the kit? The kit cost me a total of $317 that includes postage to perth. They mount exactly as you say... Quote
seabiscuit Posted December 11, 2009 Report Posted December 11, 2009 Hell yea! Great progress mate. :hmm: As for diff, you might be able to get away with some mazda gear. I was looking at a 4A-GE KE20 which had an RX3 (not 100% could be RX-something) LSD in it. Looked to fit quite well. I'm not sure if they shortened it or just chucked it straight in. Quote
philbey Posted December 11, 2009 Report Posted December 11, 2009 Wicked. That's the answer I've been too lazy to measure myself. I just emailed OTOMOTO to see if they might do a group buy discount on them. Quote

Its a Two speed auto Glide. This will be an original resto i think. so now i got two cars on the go haha. But heres what she looks like..... (There's A couple shots of me out of petrol on reid hwy and i had my camera handy.) Quote
67Rolla-Ken Posted December 13, 2009 Report Posted December 13, 2009 Nice find. What year is it? Everything on the outside says 1967 but the dash says 68-70. The VIN would tell you if you check it against those in the database. Quote
philbey Posted December 14, 2009 Report Posted December 14, 2009 Good work on the second car as well. Just out of interest, how did you work out what spring rate to run; did you just take a punt with the lower rate or did you get scientific? Do your shocks match the rate at all? Quote
68krolla Posted December 14, 2009 Author Report Posted December 14, 2009 (edited) Ken, I will register this car shortly, its funny how i thought all these ke10s would be the exact same but this differs from my other one heaps. I will get in touch with you soon, maybe over the break and you can check them out... need that trim and stuff aswell!!!!!! Philbey, I wanted to get the lowest spring rate possible just because the ke20 shock seemed alot stiffer than the stock ones, and they are adjustable anyway. I think they will be a great improvement without being to solid. We will soon find out. COULD ANY BODY WITH KE10 PANELS OR BUMPERS PLEASE CONTACT ME BY PM... 68krolla Posted January 8, 2010 Author Report Posted January 8, 2010 Flash as... I'll buy it!! :lolcry: But seriously, how much to get mine done? Well depending on how much you do your self: Sleeve Kit $300 Welding $20 Paint $25 Ke20 Pedders Shocks $300 for both $645 all up i think is great for performance coilovers when you consider the cost of manufactured ones!
