Umm, you don't need a fire extinguisher for motorkhana. Or suspension. Or a tuned engine. Or race seats. Or a helmet. Or anything really, apart from a car that will sort of get you from A to B, and some money for the day.

In fact, I think the only monies you need are:

$25 for entry fees (if you book in before 26th)

$20 for Level 1 CAMS licence

$40 for club membership

All this I think you can get ON THE DAY. You can upgrade your Level 1 licence to a Level 2S I think within 21 days or something, I've forgotten. Club membership is payable once a year. $25 for a day of motorkhana is bloody cheap.

So stop trying to "upgrade" your car or "make it handle" or "go harder" and come out and play :|

... and look where I am now :|

*edit* Just for anyone interested, this is what I'll be running:

Pinky. KE55 with 4KC, estimated running < 30hp at the wheels and dropping on a daily basis. Running oil that is about as thick as it gets and it STILL blows smoke... Not remarkably reliable, in fact broke down (again) yesterday. Open diff, $20 tyres on the back with about 2% thread, $80 tyres on the front with about 50% thread. Rear shocks in dire need for replacement, super-dodgy Monroe Gas. Front shocks not all that flash anymore, KYB's. Handbrake doesn't really work, might be drums needing machining, might be shoes a bit old, might be both. Or something else. Doesn't help that handbrake cable has stretched and doesn't provide anymore adjustment.

So yes, if you think your car is a shitbox and you can't come out to play because of that, think again :)

OH i can't wait for year 12 to end, so i can start to enjoy life. only 263 days left untill the 19th of nov 2004.

and only about 160 days untill i get my P's :)
