parrot Posted December 22, 2009 Report Posted December 22, 2009 You would be wasting your time, would never have enough copy and would never sell enough. Have a look at Japanese Nostalgic car, quality magazine and struggling to sell enough copies. Publishing a magazine is a big job. Internet is instant, once it's hardcopy, it's out of date. Nice idea, but would never work. Perhaps you could start your own, wait for an offer from ACP (Packer) then retire! Quote
towe001 Posted December 22, 2009 Report Posted December 22, 2009 Mag sounds good tho I agree to sending online if it ever were to take off. I wouldn't post as I've seen how rough the post machines are. You have to remember that its all volunteer work from all the admins and done in their spare time. I would recommend that if your keen for news and updates you check the news forum. Admin are trying to do things like COTY to reward its members too. As for the calendar I cancelled it as one person sent me pictures. 3 people placed orders. It was a massive drop in interest compared to last years 130 orders. I will try to do what I did last year next year. Tho some states are pretty dead now a days. Everybody that got the '09 calender said just how good it was and not sending pictures, placing orders thats a real let down in the interest for the '10 edition people considering Jon had upped the ante for the '10 calender and we all knew it. And in a way if thats the response to the hard work that Jon put into the calendar..... I'd just keep it to the forum - not saying that the idea of a mag is a bad idea, i do like the idea more so on the tech articles etc that, say, i could print out or at least have a paper copy i could have next to me while stuffing around on the rolla Some sneak peaks...KE30... I'll put my hand up for the ke30 one  Quote
