hello.... does anyone know how many cc is the dish in a 4k-u engine?i want to build another head and measure the cr..but without removing the stock one....thanks...

I know the 5k dishies are supposed to be 22cc, but never CC'd them myself to confirm.

yeh that's a 5K dish.

 

Ring ACL they'll be able to tell you what dish size they'd sell you for replacements.

I don't think you can still get an ACL D-dish type piston for a 5k. Pretty sure they only do the O-dish type with a volume of 6cc.

correct. Actually it's 9cc.

 

But if he's after 4KU pistons then he'll have different pistons altogether, whether they're easy to get from ACL is a different matter.

Doubt you'd get them from ACL.... They only list ring sets for the dished piston 4k's.

 

I've seen them listed in some piston catalogs from overseas suppliers before. Search google for "4ku pistons".

Yeh on that note, I've pulled up a very handy cattle dog from Mahle, could be very good to cross reference sizes etc.

There may be the odd problem for ringing ACL here....

does anyone have a 4k D dish piston out of an engine to measure? i can't find any other solution to find the dish cc... i read somewhere something about 16cc..but i want to confirm that...

Apparantly you can still get these pistons thru Toyota. They might be able to help you out.
