Well where do i start ?, at the beginning i guess. I purchased this 69 KE10 some 12 years ago as a stock little car powered by a 3K and backed by a 2 speed auto. I gave it to my dad to use as a work hack back then. As the years passed i changed it to a manual, put a KE25 front end in it, added Mazda 323 front struts and brakes, had a full chrome molley cage fitted and had a JTS built 4k installed running twin 40ml Webers. Then i got married, got a mortgage and this project got shelved.

About 6 years ago i took the motor out and put in into a KE70 to use as a Kahanacross car and the poor little 10 got left out and unfortunately started to weather away. Now the KE 70 has been scrapped due to rust i've decided to get the KE10 running again with its JTS 4K a 5 speed re installed.

Now here's the challenge!, i'm going to rebuild this car into a presentable state with little or no paint and trim repairs, also i'm going to use parts i have in stock.

First job is a good clean with the pressure cleaner and degreaser, then look for a replacement white bonnet and boot lid. I'm confident i can turn this poor neglected little KE10 into a respectable head turning Kahanacross car.

I'm confident you'll pull this off Gav....

I have not heard of using 323 struts before, what are the benefits of them? got any suspension pics?

A friend had them is his 323 with Koni shocks, the brake rotors are a little bigger than the KE17 discs and it has the same stud pattern. We only used them because they were there. I'll get some pics up soon.

Some progress pics, replaced boot lid with a KE11 one so decided to change tail lights to match, interior clean now just need to fit the factory rubber floor coverings, changed door trims to black ones instead of the original blue, engine bay just needs engine and i still need to change bonnet to a better one. Gave it a quick hand polish but will give it a cut n buff when completed.

Talk about getting me going Gav, that's pretty much where my 11 is heading this year although it needs more work than yours.

Coming along nicely, loving the pics. Got me all inspired :D
