How Do You Use The Search Feature?

Hey i want to find out some info about cold air intake pods and what sort of aftermarket ECU's would be good for ae82.

I'm not here asking those questions but i want to find some posts about this stuff because I'm sure this has been asked before.

When go to the search page i type in "AE82 pod filter" or "Cold air intake" but comes back with 26 - 39 pages!

 

I then type in "+Ae82 pod filter" same thing. Then type in "+ae82 +Pod +Filter"

 

It comes up with random stuff so what am i doing wrong?

It does that as it is bringing up every topic with the words ae82, pod & filter in it.

I tried finding info on ecu's but not really what your after, Try a few searches with "INSERT WORD HERE".

on the left hand side you can choose sub catagoires, like rollatechnical>general mechanical>ke discussion. in your case just choose ae discussion

And you might just have to search through pages of info to find that info.

 

The search function is handy but just like google etc you still have to read a hell of a lot. Just start skim reading every thread that has a title that sounds relevant.

 

also when you look at the pages of search results, you'll see the forum it's in is listed too, you can immediately skip past wanted and sale threads, and even regional ones when you're just after tech info.

Ok thanks for that, If i typed in..

ae82 pod

it came up with 39 pages but if i type in

 

"ae82 pod"

it was 2 threads.

I know i dug up a few old thread's on the AExx discussion the other day but its better than starting a new topic. I might be digging up another old thread soon.. hehe

I disagree. If you've got further questions based on an old thread start a new one and reference (link, quote, etc) the old one. IMO that's preferential to digging old threads which tends to annoy a lot of people, myself included.
