Yep, Cut both the inner guard and outer guard. Then welded them together. You can either cut them at the same height and weld a bit in between them, or cut the outer guard then bend the inner guard out and weld. then grind.

Took it for a thrash last night, handles like a go-kart! And with the lightened flywheel it has lost that below 4 grand lagging I had from too much juice. I can see the diff won't last too long with the new clutch either.

 

Hopefully get out to the track this weekend and see what times I can do. :jamie:
