As far as I know there is no difference at all.

The "Hicam" was just a loser's advertising ploy when everyone else started making overcam motors!

Embarrasses me really...

marketing. head should be the same!

seen the "o2 advantage" on a vzj95r prado with a 5vz-fe? it didn't come with oxygen sensors from the factory and yet it still had the o2 advantage!! maybe the o2 advantage was the o2 molecules that it used in the combustion process?

marketing!!

What rob said. Get your builder to plane the head to the comp ratio you want.

It's no good anyone here saying "take 1.5mm off" it's all dependent on your current specs anyway.

"O2 Advantage" was a reference to the improved breathing capabilities of Toyota engines as they adopted an almost universal twin-cam multivalve design in the early 90s. Nothing to do with an O2 sensor.

Same sort of thing with the "Super Responsive" and LASRE engines in the 80s (Super Responsive was basically the adoption of overhead cams, LASRE was Lightweight Advanced Super Responsive Engine, again referring to overhead cams and EFI improving engine response and revs)

Super responsive was due to the A series engine being light weight revving quickly, well that is what the marketing booklet I have has in it.
