demuire
That's phat. I love how you can lower dattos so much that the wheels sit IN the guards, I wish you could do that with Corollas. I remember ages ago when Craig and I were still building our cars, and Craig showed me photos of his Datto, it had like the wheels sitting in the guards and all that, it looked SO COOL. And then I put the suspension in the car, and even when I took the springs out and put the car on the bumpstops, it still wouldn't go anywhere near as low... So lame... And that was with shortened struts and everything!
demuire
Corolla on bumpstops: Datto on like, "highest" setting... With FWD offset rims!!! If the rims actually fit under the guards, he'd be able to drop it another... 3 inches??? And *still* not be on the bumpstops!
demuire
Haha, the bumpstops are small enough as they are :D

Super Jamie
That's phat. I love how you can lower dattos so much that the wheels sit IN the guards minitruckers call this "tuck", and is something to strive for i've read about dudes who've sold utes just because they couldn't get them to tuck
Super Jamie
that's called a body drop
Super Jamie
no strut towers or springs, they have double wishbones and torsions bars in front then dudes cut the rails out at the back and weld those bit notches in. usually when you bag a truck, you swap it to 4 link as well. some really endeavouring people even swap to IRS with bags
demuire
That is soo, soooo very cool :D Dammit, Corollas were never designed to be "tucked" :D The closest I've gotten to "tuck" is this cool photo by Haikal, Queensland Challenge 2005: I mustave been like 1mm from the bumpstops :D
Super Jamie
box the rear above the diff, change to 4 link and bag it. moving the fuel tank is no big deal get new coilovers made and cut the inner guards out, make new tubs from just sheet metal bent in a curve i reckon you could get a corolla to rail easy enough
Rolla__Boy
If you had some bigger wheels on it...it would "tuck"
