Anybody live near pick a part campbellfeild that could look at a car for me?

Thought I should throw some more info up on this request!

 

Deano's chasing a datsun 260-280c power steering box and there's a datto in pick a part. Were hoping someone could help us out this week and have a look at the car to see if it's a power steer far and if the box is still there. If so we will come get it ( unless you can pull it out for some coin or cans).

 

Any help would be very much appreciated b

Hey guys, there was a datsun 280c there a 2 or 3 weeks back, could have been a 79 or 80 model and it still had the engine and ancillaries in the bay so you may be in luck.

 

Unfortunatley I can't assist you any further, so I hope the info given can help you.. :dance:

ill probably be going down on saturday for a looksie. ill have a look around for yas.

Hoping to find out earlier than that but matem if Saturdays it then we will still be pretty happy. Planning on doing to steering conversion to the chev next week if theres a box in it. If theres not it will be an HG box for it instead.

 

And Minty, cheers for the update on the car. Hopefully it hasnt been molested to much but we will see how we go! Just hope its power steer!

Haven't looked under the bonnet but there is a 280c wagon at centre road. They obviously had a brain fade 'cause it's in the Toyota section. I take a peak on the next visit.

they got the little light next to the dissy?

Not sure about the light evan. ??? Dunno!

 

Would be great if someone could check it out next time they hit that wreckers, my bet is the steering box is gone if it's power steer, if it's not please let us know or pull it out for us! Always something in it for you :P

it was in the rear left corner, brown and mostly intact. i remember the wheels still on it and pointing straight, and motor still there

would an r30 skline box do the job? there is one at pick a part campbelfield with the power steer box intact.

steering box is now missing!

Just a thought, maybe the opening post should list wreckers in Melbourne that stock Rolla's, particularly early Rolla's
