trikzlane Posted August 27, 2010 Author Report Posted August 27, 2010 (edited) some sidways shots, also i am a 2nd mechanic by trade, so everything done to this car was done by me, was dead stock when i bought it 2 years back Edited August 27, 2010 by trikzlane Quote
altezzaclub Posted August 27, 2010 Report Posted August 27, 2010 Nice! A lot of work in there! Does the adjustable panhard make much of a change? Quote
trikzlane Posted August 27, 2010 Author Report Posted August 27, 2010 feels heaps tighter but the main reason is when you lower a ke70 the diff pushes over to the LH side of the car which upsets the handling, the ajps adj panhard rod allow the diff to be bought back into centre Quote
Trev Posted August 27, 2010 Report Posted August 27, 2010 Some nice specs there, Next time I see this around I will come say hi. Quote
SLW42 Posted August 28, 2010 Report Posted August 28, 2010 Is this out at archy sometimes? Why didn't you just put a 20v into it with all the money you spent on head work and internal bits, would've been cheaper and you would have more power, and aren't they green p plates in the photo's? Quote
trikzlane Posted August 30, 2010 Author Report Posted August 30, 2010 in theory i could have put a 20v in, but i don't like 20v's, + this motor can handle 8psi, so if i decide to go turbo it will last, and yes i am green p plates Quote

trikzlane Posted August 30, 2010 Author Report Posted August 30, 2010 thanks dave, hows your car going, bet the front feels heaps better now Quote
ke70dave Posted August 30, 2010 Report Posted August 30, 2010 yeah good mate, considerably better with the new front thats for sure. Quote

SLW42 Posted August 30, 2010 Report Posted August 30, 2010 Yeah but look at the money he spent on the motor, IMO it just makes more sense to me to put a 20v into it, fair enough you don't like the 20v mate your car i'll shut up now haha, it's good to see at least one 70 out at archy every now and again :P Quote
trikzlane Posted August 30, 2010 Author Report Posted August 30, 2010 yes i do drive this on the street, its my daily too. the reasons i choose no to do 20v is the total build for a 20v is like 4000 to have it running, this cost me around 2000, big prices difference, plus its way easier to make a 16v turboed then a 20v Quote

ke70dave Posted August 30, 2010 Report Posted August 30, 2010 You do know that it is illegal for a P plater to have an engine conversion. ive no doubt he does. i belive mr trikzlane has rebuilt the engine himself as well. i think hes an engine builder apprentice/trady? so rebuilding the 16V woulndt have cost as much as you might think SLW.
