went halvies with my mate. It's a 4K-c 4 speed manual ke55 pretty good condition bit of rust which 'well fix. the motor needs work asap it's got no power i need some ideas for quick and cheap mods any ideas anyone? wouldn't mind turning it into a drift slut can anyone here in melbourne weld my diff? sorry for the crap quality pictures

Welcome and what Evan said, why ruin such a clean ke55 and use it for drifting. A ke70 would have been better as its a more modern platform to work with, especially if you want to drift it. Saying that though, ke70's arent exactly easy to find now...

yeah me and my mate were talking about it last night we're just going to drive it around as is and not drift it but we still want to modify the motor and diff. i'll try get some pics of it during the daytime for you blokes it's not as clean as you think

No drift = no point locking the diff, money better spent else where.

As far as making it go a bit harder go for it, you can either tickle around with the 4k or just buy a 5k from a km36 Liteace and slot it between the struts much more effective mod any k series Corolla can achieve. For a ke55 it looks preety tidy though. Keep us updated.

we mainly just bought it for transport we were tired of getting trams and stuff heres a few better pics.

It's cool. the interior look clean. Buy some cans of degreaser and blast the shit out of the engine bay. Check all your vacuum lines around the carby and hit it with some carby/throttle body cleaner. Get new oil and filter, fuel filter, air filter, spark plugs, leads, distributer cap, rotor button points. The timing and rocker clearence is critical so get it done.

You could probably do all that for under $200 and would make it 5 times nicer to drive. Also if the AC doesn't work pull all that shit out unless you plan on getting it regased.

Where abouts do you live mate, its not City of Banyule is it? Like Greensborough, Montmorency, Heidelberg etc,etc. As some of the outing photos shown seem famailiar to where I suggested.
