September 22, 201016 yr comment_470850 hi Imo in the middle of building my 5k for my ke20 just for abit of fun on a rainy day... the work ive done to it is- fully balanced, blueprinted bottom end, new conrods all new bearings etc, new 40thou oversized pistons block has been decked out don't know how much, head has been shaved to a very minimum , ported n polished head, max i could go, match ported manifolds with twin 40s and a lighted flywheel extractors and a 1.75in pipe with a HD excedy clutch!!. ok the cam is unknown now thats what is going to make the horsepower. if its not right for the engine then I'm f@$ked so I'm taking a risk!! i was told when i got it was the biggest cam for the streets just under a race cam, i just got it and didnt think it would of gone this far with the engine... ok so now i would like your feedback on what you think and what est. ill be getting on the dyno closest to it gets to wrap a helli :P it will be getting dynoed in the next 2-3weeks Edited September 22, 201016 yr by ke20 king Report
September 22, 201016 yr comment_470924 75-80 RWHP. If you're lucky. Exhaust is a bit small. What chokes in the Webers? CR? Fuel? J Report

September 23, 201016 yr comment_471036 mine made 68rwkw with rather high comp, over 11:1. can't recall exactly I have my build calcs somewhere. I also have a big mystery cam (hence I get away with that comp) I don't know proper duration specs but it runs .480 inches of lift which is big. The comp is the main reason I make that power and I'd have problems if I went for a milder "street" grind cam. Edited September 23, 201016 yr by philbey Report
September 23, 201016 yr Author comment_471051 yeah I'm going 4 a 2in now i was think around about the 70-80hp range if I'm lucky i really need to find the spe of the cam the chokes are 32 and the main jet is 138 any good cheers Report
September 23, 201016 yr comment_471056 chokes will be fine, don't worry too much about the jets if you're going to the dyno tuner, let them sort that out. Report
September 23, 201016 yr comment_471057 32mm's should be right. some people go 28's, but thats a bit small if you want to make Hp. Min 2" exhaust, 1.75 is too small. It'll be a nice little package. Can't remeber what my main size is, but it's probably somewhere around there. Edited September 23, 201016 yr by Redwarf Report
September 23, 201016 yr comment_471206 very crudely, you need to determine - volume of your piston dish - head combustion chamber volume - bore x stroke (Swept volume) this calculator is a simple one: http://www.csgnetwork.com/compcalc.html Better calculators will also look at crown to ring distance, diameter at top ring, diameter at crown, etc. You really should work this out, I ended up with very high compression because the only new pistons I could buy had a much smaller dish in them than the factory ones (9cc instead of ~21cc).
