ancullen Posted September 14, 2005 Report Posted September 14, 2005 2E has bore x stroke of 73mm x 77.4mm. 4E has 74mm x 77.4mm. So the 4E should rev just ever so slightly better. Quote
Super Jamie Posted September 14, 2005 Report Posted September 14, 2005 more torque. probably under 5nm more i suspect better head design, aren't 2Es 12v but 4Es are 16v? Quote
ancullen Posted September 15, 2005 Report Posted September 15, 2005 Yep, 2E was SOHC 12v, 4E only came with F-head, so DOHC 16-valve. Quote
ancullen Posted September 15, 2005 Report Posted September 15, 2005 When I get my hands on a 4E-FTE halfcut, guess what my plans are for current 4E-FE & gearbox??? GO-KART!!!! Quote
Super Jamie Posted September 15, 2005 Report Posted September 15, 2005 you don't know gixxerkart? OMG! GO HERE! NOW! http://gprime.net/video.php/gixxerkart Quote
ancullen Posted September 15, 2005 Report Posted September 15, 2005 GIXXERKART FRIGGIN' ROCKS!!!!!!!! I actually meant I want to build more of a single/twin seater buggy thing, mid-engined. It'd probably weigh a fair bit more than 135kgs. And I reckon Gixxerkart would have to have a bike engine for it to weigh that little. Remember a Mini engine is all cast, plus Gixxerkart's motor look air-cooled. Quote
Super Jamie Posted September 15, 2005 Report Posted September 15, 2005 p.s thats a Mini Engine I am told... whoever told you that is full of crap a) no mini engine sounds anything like that b) the exhaust and intake are on the same side on an A series c) mini engines aren't twincam d) this page shows how it was done Quote
demuire Posted September 15, 2005 Author Report Posted September 15, 2005 Yes Nick, I would have thought the name would have suggested that it was out of a GSX-R automatically :D Quote
