hello ladies and gents i have a quick question.....

When you pull a ke70 gearshifter apart, and you have the bottom bit that bolts to the box, is there ment to be a rubber gasket or something rubber, inside where the shifter seats on the holder, if that makes sence

In detail..... Shifter base, shifter stalk(where it goes into box and into gearknob), circlip, rubber surrounds, ........

I am asking inside the shifter base were it bolts onto the box, there is a circlip that holds the whole shifter stalk in place in the base, i need to know... inside the base is there ment to be like a rubber seal or 'spacer' i guess you could call it to hold the shifter against the sides and centre of the shifter base???? :hmm:

Is it a K40 or K50. KE70 K50 and T50 shifter housings are interchangable so theoretically one of those AJPS T50 rebuild kits (for like $50) would fit the K50. :hmm:

The key word in that previous post was theoretically..... ie I take no responsiblity if it doesn't fit. If it doesn't then its not the sort of thing you can't sell on anyways.
